Just wanted to thank everyone for the help. These boards were really helpful and made our trip great.
We landed in MCO at 9:30am and used Magical Express. It was great! We were to WL by 10:30 and in the park by 11:30. We could have taken an available courtyard view on the villa side, but thanks to these boards, we knew to wait for an inner room to be available. We ended up with a nice room with a view of the pool more so than the lake, but it made for some great people watching at night while the kids slept. We could also, se the water parade pretty well at night and if the MK fireworks were really high in the air, we could see them too. We loved the lodge, so we were a little disappointed on Saturday when we transfered to the Boardwalk Inn. The walls in our room were paper thin. We could hear everything the room next door was saying. I can't even see that they were really loud, it sounded like they were talking in normal voices. The resort is very pretty, but is in need of some updating. We also didn't think it was very easy to get anywhre except Epcot.
Overall, we had a great trip. The weather was great! We did MVMCP, which was also great. The girls loved meeting the princesses and see the characters. I would love to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks again for the help everyone!;)

We will be enjoying our first trip ever to WDW, and staying at the WL. Any suggestions you have would be great. We have a courtyard room booked.

I am sooooooooooooo excited.:yay:

The only thing I would say about the room is to make sure you tell them you want an inner courtyard view room when you check in. There are rooms that are also in the courtyard category that look out into the Villas courtyard, and they are little more then a woods view room. I can't imagine why they are in the same category. With that said, I would think the Villa courtyard view would be a bit more quiet. Not that the inner courtyard view was very loud. You can hear the boat horns and sometimes people down at the pool, but it never bothered us or kept us awake.
If you are traveling with young kids in strollers, I would also say the boat to the MK is the way to go. It is nice if you get the bigger boat and don't have to take them out of the strollers. There are smaller boats that also run, where you will have to take them out and collapse the strollers. We tried the bus once and didn't think it saved any time, so we always used the boats. The buses to other parks seem to run frequently. We never waited for more then 10 minutes. I would just say to add some extra time as they do make other stops. The Epcot bus stops at the campground and the AK bus stops at one of the water parks, so it takes a little more time then I expected. I don't know about the bus to MGM, because we waited until we were over at the Boardwalk Inn to go there. All in all, we were to the parks within 30 minutes of getting to the bus stop.
Hope this helps. have a great trip and feel free to ask any other questrions you might have.;)

We have stayed at the CBR numerous times and the bus system was always efficient and I'm a little nervous about the WL. Did you share with the other resorts?

Did you eat at Whispering Canyon or Roaring Forks? How were they?

We found the buses to be fine. I think if you were fine with them at CBR, you will be fine with them from WL.
We ate at both. Whispering Canyon is more fun than fine dining, but worth it for the entertainment alone. Roaring forks food is fine. They redid it since the last time we were there, and I have to say I liked it better before. It seems like there is less selection than I remember, but the food was fine for a quick bite to eat.
