I got back yesterday from a week in WDW. I was originally planning to rent a car to avoid the buses but changed my mind and decided to save my money. We had absolutely no problems. All of the bus drivers were extremely helpful and many were downright fun! I didn't notice anyone fuming in the lines that I was loaded first. Of course I am pretty flame proof so maybe I just tuned it out but I don't think so. We had one time when a bus pulled up and was full and couldn't load me, but she called for another bus and it came within a few minutes.

The only issue that I had was that my personal scooter battery is apparently not holding a charge so well anymore. On my first full day out I realized that I was in trouble. After about 6 hours, with at least 4 more to go I was on my last light on my indicator. I made it to the ECV rental and rented one for the rest of the evening. I left mine there with them and they pulled it into the back. The guys there were really nice and said they would see if they could find a charger for me (I hadn't brought mine out). When I went back they had it hooked it and had been able to charge it for about an hour when they finally found the right style of cord. I was so relieved. As it ended up that charge was all that got me home! My scooter slowed to just barely moving as I was about 10 doors from my hotel room and I was able to get it just inside the door of my room! I don't know what I would have done without that extra charge.

The rest of the time I brought my charger out with me and had to plug in at least once a day. Everyone was so nice and I was able to plug it in inside some restaurants and with an ice cream cart during Fantasmic. My battery is removable so I offered to just plug the battery in and leave the scooter outside but no one had problem with me bringing it in and made room if necessary.

I will never leave the room without my charger again! But I was really surprised to hear that the ECV rental area had several different style chargers so if you are ever desperate, see if they can help you.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Hi; glad you had such a good trip! I'm glad for the info re: the ECV's. I have to say, DH is such an engineer that he won't leave the house w/o the charger cord, but since he's married to me, a mistake is always possible:)
