I have some questions about OKW. How did you like it? Where exactly did you stay (building, room, if you remember)? How was the new slide? Did the main pool get crowded during the day? Did you eat at Olivia's, and if so, how did you like it?
Hi Simba's Mom~
We really liked OKW. We were in bldg. 14 (caddy corner from Hosp. House) in a 2nd floor studio. Our balcony faced the fountain on the golf course, but would have been better had the trees not grown and given the balcony so much privacy...really couldn't see much thru the trees. (They originally were going to put us in another bldg, and when I checked my DIS- list of bldgs. to avoid, I asked for another and was accomodated.) We had and under counter fridge (rectangular one, not a square shaped one), toaster, coffee maker, mircowave, paper plates and plastic utensils. The fridge (w/ small freezer) was very convenient. The Hosp. House gift shop sold individual frozen food entrees, donuts, beer, non-alcoholic bevs, snacks and such....quite the selection of edibles (i thought). There were 2 queen beds (very high beds--had to climb INTO them!) and they were comfy. Having a ceiling fan in the room was awesome....very nice. Our exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work and DH said the toliet seat didn't stay up on it's own...so, warn the men you're traveling with

!
We were only there for 2 nights, and out most of the day....so, we didn't really go to the pool. We did go over to take some pictures and I must say, the new slide looks like fun! The kids using it were having a ball.....and it didn't look crowded....of course, we were there on a Sat & Sun--2 big travel days....so, who knows?? There are plenty of chairs tho.
We didn't eat on-site....had too many PS's

. Olivia's seemed to be popular tho.....constantly saw people in and out...but, never a line or wait or anything like that. I got a real relaxed, southern feeling there....I would definately stay there again. Also, used the bell services to store our luggage twice....very happy w/ it. Could get to our luggage anytime thruout the day.....very nice service to have! Mind you, if you stay 4 days or less, there is no mousekeeping. I forget how many times you get maid service for how many days you stay.....I can check. We did take the ferry to DTD...that was a nice little ride (appx. 10-15 min) with a "tour" of different, interesting things.
I'll try to post some pics when we get them. We took lots of dig pics and downloaded them on my FIL's pc at his house in Fla....but, we forgot to put them on CD before we left...so, he will have to do it and send the disc to us. So, till then.....hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. We usually stay at ASMo...and this was a nice upgrade. DH didn't think it was THAT much roomier.....but, he's a guy, what's he know?? I thought it was much roomier and would definately give it a thumbs up!!!
