Just back from YC. I had the perfect room.

HI!
I just got back from an absolutely amazing vacation!!!
There were 5 -27 year old girls in one room. We had no problems. The double sinks were great.
We booked a standard view. The only room request I made was to have the pullout bed.
We had a view of the wedding gazeebo, lagoon, partial view of SAB and illuminations. We had a big balcony w/ an awning. We were 10 rooms from the elevator and stairs which were right next to the boat launch.
Room #3085.

were staying at the yc in march for our wdw wedding at the yc wedding gazebo. cant wait.

I will attempt to post pictures in a couple of days. There were at least 3 weddings a day while we were there. Most of the weddings took place in the morning. The weddings I saw were very small. One wedding had Mickey and Minnie attend and they had a beautiful cake and champagne. The other 2 we saw were very basic but they were on Sunday so it probably cost a lot more.
I was debating on making room requests b/c I really wanted a balcony. I did not make any special requests except for the extra bed. I guess we just got lucky. We definitely had a water view but I don't know if the YC only considers a pool view, a water view. One morning I woke up early and ran around the perimeter of the YC and I realized a lot of the views could end up being pretty bad on the side of the building w/ the private pool and the parking lot. Also, there were a ton of convention people so maybe the YC preferred to upgrade us rather than them b/c we paid rack rate and we booked over 6 months ago.

We checked in at 11:30 and our room was ready.

Believe it or not wedding gazebo view is considered standard view at YC! There's such a difference between that view and the parking lot yet they're in the same category. That's why I always suggest someone ask for wedding gazebo view if they're booking standard. It really doesn't seem like a standard. That is a gorgeous view and I'm very glad you had a wonderful time! Look forward to seeing your pictures.

There were 2 double beds and a sofa bed. There were no ashtrays and it didn't smell like smoke so I don't think it was smoking. I don't know if smoking is permitted on the balcony.

Yes they are queen beds. I thought a double bed and a queen bed are the same thing. I used to have a full bed in my bedroom and the beds at the YC were bigger then the full size bed. (Is a full size bed the same as a double?)

The pullout bed was the couch which was a small matress. I thought it was comfortable and I am 5'6''. The couch was at the foot of the bed that was closest to the balcony.
