Had a wonderful, amazing time. We love it there, so we're biased, but if any of you are planning on staying there, I'd be happy to share our experience.

Oh, and F&W festival was incredible as always. :cool1:

What type room did you have and where was it located? How were the CMs and mousekeeping? Friends are staying there next week (at my suggestion) so I'm hoping they have an awesome time!

Oh yes...share, share!!! :goodvibes

Any special tips you can give, etc would be wonderful.

Thanks,
Solotraveler :earsboy:

We got there around 11am, and our room was ready. We had requested a room very close to the main elevators as we have small children, (including an 8 month old) and when we got to the room it was about as far away from the main elevators as you could imagine. Our view was the construction in front of the lagoon. My husband called the front desk and they immediatley switched our room to about 3 doors from the elevator with a very nice view. Mousekeeping was there right away with a portacrib, so we were good to go. SAB was great as always, they're still using the wristbands, which I think is a good idea. Very very clean, the room was in tip top shape. Our son loved turndown service, he thought it was so cool that they turned down our beds and left us candy! We had lunch at Beaches & Cream which we loved and the Crew's Cup which was also great. Breakfast at Cape May with the characters was very nice.

Most of all, we love walking into Epcot at night, and that we only need the bus for the MK and AK. It's nice to have other transportation options. Cannot wait to go back!!! :cool1:

Glad you were switched to a more convenient room! What is the construction to which you referred? Anything my friends should be concerned about?

We love the Yacht Club. Glad you had a great time. :)

No, the construction is not a really big deal, it's just that it was literally right outside that window, room 3233........with a baby we didn't want the noise right outside the window.

Turndown service is free and a nice touch. ::MinnieMo

Did you use the WiFi service? Was there a charge, and how is it conveyed? How was the reception?

I know it is supposed to be a vacation, please forgive my pre-occupation.

Glad to hear you had such a great time. We were there in June. If not for a crazy desire to try out a few more WDW hotels, we would never ever even think of staying anywhere else!!!! :teeth: YC is absolutely wonderful!!!

This is our favorite thing about the YC also - it is so nice to spend the evening at World Showcase watching the parade (in the past) and the fireworks and then having a leisurely stroll back to the hotel. We are going in Feb 2006 and I can't wait!

HI
I will be there in 2 days. Are there certain sections of the YC that are better than others? The only room request we have is for the day bed b/c we have 5 adults. We booked a standard view. How is the pool water temp? Were there a lot of convetioniers?

I am soooo excited about our trip in a few weeks! We honeymooned at YC, and since our anniv is a few days before this trip, we're staying there again --with 3DSs this time.
(BRP made that decision a little easier!! :goodvibes )

Hi,

I hear there is a desert at Beaches and Cream called the kitchen sink and it's awesome and really really big. Did you get one or see anyone else get one? We will be there in 51 days can't wait.

I noticed a few conventioneers, but it was no big deal. For us, I just like requesting a room that is close to the main elevators because if you're not, it can be QUITE a walk to get there. Water temp was nice, refreshing, but not too cool. Very nice.

Enjoy your trip!!

I just posted pics of the inside and outside of our YC room in another thread....our room had a whole wall of windows and looked out to the area with the wedding gazebo. On the exterior view, that's me waving on the porch in the lower left opposite the turret. It was an amazing room!:
