Hey everybody. I am just back from a wonderful trip to Disney. I had a few things I would love to share....
First, we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, and yes it was beautiful! We loved it so much we booked it again for next year's trip! The staff was great, the mousekeepers left us cutie towel animals everyday, and the Whispering Canyon Cafe' was Yummy! I was a touch worried about the transportation because we had read many negative reports on the boards about the buses, BUT we never waited more that 15 mins for a bus and we used the boat alot too! We found that taking the boat to the Contemporary, then the monorail to Poly for some delicious Kona coffee was a great way to start our day! So the transportation was terrific! NO complaints.
Second, the crowds were SOOOOOO low, we never waited longer than 10 mins for a ride, but please note that we did use FASTPASS for some of the "bigger" more popular rides like everest and of course Toy Story Mania that was boasting a 65 min standby wait!
Third, the dinning was perfect. We ate counter services at each park, all were good. We ate the following TS meals:
Akershus House - WONDERFUL! We loved the food and the princesses were great too!
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Dinner Package) - The food was Good, the service was GREAT!
Liberty Tree Tavern - this is a must for my family every trip because the food is just sooooooooo goooooood!
Crystal Palace - The food here was ok, the kids LOVED the place!
Teppen Endo - (SP?) - The food was Great, but this was the hardest meal for the "kids" to enjoy. They were "bored"??? Anyhow, We WILL be eating there again! LOL
Whispering Canyon - Yummy! Enough Said.
Coral Reef - This was such a good way to close our trip, it was cool, relaxing and the food was good.
I finally tried the Dole Whip, and yes it was good.
We did MNSSHP Friday night and it was great, the crowds were so low!
To sum everything up, this was a perfectly magical trip! I will be scheduling a rest day next year though. I was playing the part of "tour guide" for our group of 12 and I got really tired. I am NOT complaining however because I think all in all I showed them all the best Disney has to offer!
