I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of this resort! I just love the grounds and the pool is a perfect size. The CM's are so nice, friendly and just plain helpful!

I had booked a standard room through Expedia with a GREAT deal of $140 a night, so I wasn't expecting much. The lovely lady that checked us in said we had a courtyard view...it was first floor, but very close to the pool and nature came walking by our patio doors every morning which delighted my kids! We could see the geyser erupting and could hear the sounds from the pool, but only as "background noise". What a surprising and delightful upgrade!

When we openend the door to the room, it was clean, but evidentally the housekeeper had forgotten a half finished coke which was sitting on the dresser. We quickly threw it away...no biggie. We didn't receive the turndown service we requested until the last night, but again, no biggie and there were always housekeepers around to ask for extra towels, etc. They were always very pleasant about requests.

The front desk staff was exceptional. My older daughter mentioned my younger daughter's birthday at check in and we were asked who her favorite characters were. The next day when we returned from the parks there was a signed card with baloons. A very nice touch. They were very pleasant about making change for tips and printing our boarding passes. Just very, very pleasant and happy bunch!

Transportation was O.K. We never waited too long for a bus, other than to DTD, but I guess that's to be expected. Had a couple of grouchy bus drivers, but that's another thread. Also had a GREAT one on our last day, so that made up for the mediocre ones.

We are very spoiled by the monorail and having our own car, so I think our opinion might be a little biased. This was a quickie, four day with no car trip, so this is a little unusual for us. We don't like to be dependent soley on Disney transportation.

Loved Magical Express! Soooooo easy and our driver gave us good advice on how to negotiate the airport and cheapest, easiest way to get our bags from point A to point B. She was very helpful, pleasant and timely.

Overall, we LOVE the WL!!! the last time we stayed, we liked it, but didn't love it. We booked it this time based on the price. I think for the price we paid it was an UNBELIEVABLE deal.

Any questions, I'll be glad to answer!

I am happy you had a great stay at WL. Our first time there was over Christmas a few years back and we fell in love with it too.

We too are getting a $140 rate at WL when we go for 4 nights in September (Disney was offering the rate recently and I was able to get a great Southwest airfare deal). And we are also celebrating our son's 4th birthday so I'll be sure to mention it at check-in. I'm really looking forward to staying there; I've wanted to for a long time but the rate was never good enough. Now I can't wait! Thanks for a great report. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you had such a good experience. I LOVE Wilderness Lodge!! We are currently booked for 4 nights at POP in November, but I am hoping for some excellent AP rates, so I can switch to WL! I would love to be there when it is all decked out for the holidays!
