We have returned. My husband, myself and 2 kids ( 14 & 8)
Best vacation ever. The western Caribbean was awesome. We had unbelievable weather too!
At first my husband thought it was a little pricey but it was worth every penny and he agreed.
My 14yo was hesitant to go to Vibe but when he finally did he enjoyed it and went just about every night. The new Avengers movie came out while we were on board and we were first to see it
Awesome!!
We did Playa Mia in Cozumel. We had an great time. Grand Cayman we did the snorkel with sting rays through Disney and it was wonderful. So much fun. Great for kids. Jamaica we decided not to venture out of port.

Fantasy or Magic? Happen to have the personal navigators to upload?

Was this the April 30th sailing on Fantasy? We just got back from that one. Such a good time!

We did the same this last year on the Magic and had a great time also. definitely looking to do that one again one day.

i'm on that trip next April on the fantasy. I have to get in "excursion planning mode". I've done sting rays but loved it, kinda want to do it again. And we want to Dune Falls or Blue Hole in Jamaica. I think Cozumel it's a hang by the pool day!

I'm so glad to see such positive reviews. My husband and are scheduled to go on this cruise next August and pricey is the word. I'm having a hard time swallowing how expensive it is compared to sailings just a few weeks later. So it's nice to hear first hand how worth it others feel it is.

To the OP - What's up with Jamaica? Did you not find any excursions that appealed to you? I've done the western route before on another line but hubby has not, so I'm sure he will want to explore. I have to get busy figuring out what excursions are available.

I'm leaving June 11th on the Fantasy Western. I spent a week in Jamaica last year with just the wife and it's our favorite vacation yet. Don't get scared about what you read. It's my favorite island next to maybe St. Martin. Stick with Disney excursions or a tour company with good reviews. The "pipe water" or tap water is actually safe to drink unlike Cozumel and they have a good handle on stopping Zika vs other islands. Last time coming back from the Riviera Maya I got rocked with GI issues so we stay on the boat in MX.

If you would like to see what you miss staying on the boat in Jamaica watch this......

I'm so glad to hear your trip was wonderful! We are planning a Western for 2018 so I'm excited to hear good things! Question- did you feel like the Fantasy was crowded at all? I've only ever sailed the Wonder and the Magic and I've heard sometimes people feel the crowding on Fantasy and Dream.

From the research I did on the excursions they were all 1+ hours away basically. I think the travel time is enough of a deterrent for people with elementary school kids or younger.

Both of my kids get seriously car sick so most of the excursions didn't appeal to us either. We're going to do a walking food tour in Falmouth, then chill on the ship.

If you change your minds and get bored there is a great all inclusive family resort called Royalton White Sands with a water park just 3.1 miles from the port. About $80 adult $60 kid for drinks, food, non motorized watersports etc.....

We leave on this cruise tomorrow on the Fantasy! Did it last year on the Magic. Our kids are 6 & 8 so we are only doing a couple of short shore excursions. They would rather have a pool day.
