Hi!

We just returned from a wonderful trip. We were there May 17th - 25th and we couldn't have asked for better weather! Every day was sunny with highs in the 90s. There was not a single drop of rain the entire trip. :woohoo:

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge, Room 5150, 5th floor overlooking the Villas and the Villa pool. This was such a quiet location, we loved it!

We kept an eye out for the supposed "bats" that other guests have seen in the lobby and.or Artist Point. We were in the lobby at all hours, from 6 or 7am all the way to midnight, 1 and 2am. We never saw any bats.

The pool was rarely overcrowded and it never took more than a few minutes to find a lounge chair. We enjoyed the music and games and even participated in Disney trivia one afternoon (we placed 3rd!).

The beds were super comfortable and mousekeeping was great.

The parks weren't very crowded. We expected them to be worse! The most we waited for any attraction was Rock n Roller Coaster (15-20 mins on Monday, May 23rd).

We tried the new Star Tours 3D and it is OUTSTANDING! Definitely an attraction that I look forward to riding again. I won't post any spoilers but if anyone wants details, just PM me! :thumbsup2

Any other questions?

Did you do rope drop at the parks?

What kind of stampedes did you see for TSM, Kili Safaris, and Soarin'?

We're going next week.

Yes, we did rope drops at all 4 parks.

Can't comment on Safaris or TSM as we went to Everest and Star Tours respectively.

DMom went to get FP for Safaris as we did Everest. I believe she got 10:05 to 11:05 at about 9:05am. The line was quite long when we used the fastpasses at 10:30am. I would guess about 40-50 minutes.

Soarin was a nightmare. It was as though every person in Epcot went directly to the land! It was a sea of people. To make matters worse, 3 of the 6 fastpass machines were down, but the CMs didn't say anything. So everyone lined up evenly, only to be turned to the back of the line if you happened to be in line for one of the machines that was down. It was chaos until about 9:30. We managed to get 10:45 to 11:45 fastpasses at 9:05am.

Any other questions?

What's the capital of South Dakota?

;)

OP, you were there during the same dates as me only we got there on the 18th not the 17th. We stayed at PO- Riverside.

I agree I expected worse crowds due to the the extension of park hours from our booking date. The new Star Tours is fantastic.

ooh..ooh..I have a few questions!

Did you get a kickback in your room? (hope I can ask that)

Did you experience any "line jumpers"?

Did you park at a resort and walk to a park for convenience?

Did you pretend your travel companions were 2 to get them in free?

Okay...those last 3 are jokes :rotfl:

I'm going to move this to our trip report board.
