We had a WONDERFUL TIME.
Regarding park attendance: The MK is definitely the most crowded of all the parks, especially on Saturdays, when local Florida residents visit for the day. This park is open until 9 or 10 on Saturdays, and shows one or two Spectromagic shows. Epcot was a ghost town during the daytime, but came alive at night! People seemed to gravitate toward Epcot/World Showcase after MK closed. MGM was also very crowded and had TONS of characters roaming around. In all the years I've been going to WDW, this is the first time I've gotten a picture with Snow White
. The girl who plays Cruella DeVil in MGM is a riot........we were watching as a little girl, who was wearing a dalmation hat, approached Cruella. Cruella took her by the hand and drug her around to all the other characters (Belle, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pinocchio, Jessie) and made them all look at how 'gorgeous' the girl's hat was. It was a riot!!!!
Rumors: Looks like Pop Century is dead. One CM in OKW told me that Disney paid in excess of $10 million to break all construction contracts indefinitely. Most of you probably know this already, but Port Orleans is closed indefinitely as well. Tony's Town Square will not be re-starting their breakfasts.
Our Resorts: We stayed one night at ASMovies. Great resort, but EXTREMELY noisy. At 3:00 am, we woke up to kids running wildly up & down the balcony areas. The parents were SCREAMING for them to stop, but the kids kept running, and the loud-mouth parents became more annoying than the kids. Oh well, what can you expect for $50 per nite???
Next night we moved to a studio in OKW, which we were able to afford by renting DVC points from someone on these boards. This place was AWESOME!!! I would definitely stay here again.
Any questions?
