My husband and I agree this was out best disney trip ever (excluding when he proposed because nothing can really compare to that
) The resort was amazing. We took Magical Express to the resort and were the first stop. I have now taken ME 3 times and it seems to get better everytime. We waited about 5 minutes in line to check-in for ME and about 10 minutes on the bus till we left. Walking into the resort we just knew this was going to be a great vacation. We were checked in by a trainee who we helped train with out cash/points reservations, partail payment with our disney rewards card, and our staples delivered case of water (waiting in the back).
It might have taken a little while longer than normal to check us in, but we were just happy to be there. Our Studio room, 1559, was ready when we checked in. It is all the way at the end of the hallway (furthest from everything), and we LOVED it. We loved the peace and quite, we loved looking right into the woods, we loved the decor and how big it was (we were last in a SSR studio). We got lunch and 2 breakfasts at the limited-service Roaring Forks. They had an ok selection and we took all the food back to our room to eat. I am looking forward to it being done to see all that they offer. We used the exercise room three times and had no wait to get on our desired machines. We also used the hot tub near the villas and had a wonderful time in it. I should also mention we got NUMEROUS welcome homes. We took the boat to the contemporary and back numerous times and never had a long wait. We also had very good service with the boat to/from MK and all the buses. The only bus problem we had was going from MK to SSR!!!! We had appointments at the Spa and the bus took a good time 30minutes. In which time we saw 4 WL buses, 2 OKW buses, etc... Numerous people in our line gave up and either went on the OKW or POR buses. It was pretty bad. Even when we left Epcot last night after Illuminations we noticed that SSR buses were few and far between (we got 3 WL buses before they got 1). This really needs to be dealt with.
So in summary of this long report, the VWL felt like a resort in everyway and we are now proud owners of a VWL add-on.
If you have any questions, ask away!
