Just back from US, Knotts & WB Studio Tour

US we had a awesome time. The customer service was awesome. We waited 45 mins for Transformers and it was the best ride there! It was very similar to Spiderman at IOA in Florida only difference was it was 3d instead of live props jumping out at you. We got front of the line passes to ride a
2nd time right after we rode by the staff. This also happened when the kids rode Jurassic park but gave us passes for the mummy. I never rode the mummy but it was pretty scarry for me. It is a fast roller coaster type of ride. there is only one dip in the ride but the rate at which you are traveling makes it scarry and then it goes backwards. YIKES!!


At US we ate at the Flintstones BBQ place and had the best burgers not like any you would expect at an amusement park. Thick juicy and delicious! I highly recommend this place. We got the refillable drink cups and were able to use my AAA card for discounts on food, drinks and merchandise throughout the park. The Pizza Hut restaurant has one of those coke machines w/over 100 flavors which was cool.

We also ate at BigBoy restaurant in Burbank when we went to the WB Studio Tour it was awesome. The burgers are the best I ever had perfectly seasoned and a huge portion. I couldn't eat it all and they also had vanilla coke/diet coke yummy.


WB Studio tour was awesome. We got to see the mike and molly set and the frineds set which was cool. We also got to see movie vehicles like the batmobile, harry potter car and dukes of hazzard car.

Knotts was fun too. I was disappointed that they no longer let you use your AAA card for discounts throughout the park anymore. The cool thing was that their refillable drink cups have no cost to refill all day the date of purchase.

We've never been to Knotts in any of our SoCal visits. We will be in Orange County for an extended stay this fall/winter so will check it out.

Are there any rides that you liked that aren't roller coasters? I like Screamin' and of course Thunder Mountain, but thats about as wild as I like to get.

So what did you think of the rides...and the entertainment?

I don't like roller coasters. I wont ride screamin but I do like thunder mountain railroad. There were quite a few rides I liked. We liked the rapids ride, log ride, I think its called pony express (a little fast but ok in my book) there is a stage coach ride which is pulled by horses which is cool, a train ride, bumper cars, and another train sorta ride that goes through the mountain as well as carnival type rides that are cool.

As far as shows we like the wild west show. Its a cowboy type of show with stunts, guns with gun powder. We enjoy it. They also have a ice show with Snoopy that I have never seen that I heard was good.

I think it depends on your family. For us we didn't want to spend the money on a pass that would only let us ride at the front of the line only one time. You can get to the park early & head straight to the backlot & ride transformers right away & a few other rides. The studio tour moves along quite fast so yyour not waiting in the same spot for a long period of time.

We did FOTL for USH when we went in May this year because it was our first visit, we only had 1 day and wanted to be sure to get it ALL in. It turned out to be great money spent as we ended up not arriving until after 12:00 and still managed to do and see absolutely everything (including the shows) thanks to the walk-on privilege of FOTL. Was it pricy? Yes, and in our case the longest lines we by-passed were for Transformers and Shrek which were both 45 min+ and the Backlot Tour where we would have been 3 trams back without it (not sure how long that would have taken). If you have all day during non-peak or are buying the 2-day pass maybe the value wouldn't be there for you.
