Hi All
Just thought I would share my lovely trip to Bath with you all.
My best friend Rhian and I have worked together now for just over 25 years and this year is her 25th Anniversary working for the company. We usually have a gift and a dinner,as a thank you from the company, but Rhian choose her gift and instead of a dinner, the company paid for her, myself and our other friend Claire, to have an overnight stay with Dinner and Spa Treatments at The Royal Crescent Hotel Bath.
Thursday
Started off in the office, where we had decorated Rhians desk with ballons and glitter, and Claire made a presentation of a Rado watch and a scrapbook that I had put together with loads of photos from the past 25 years. My goodness how we had changed. The whole office then had Bucks Fizz and some cake.
We then went for lunch in Cardiff before getting the train to Bath. Once there we did a bit of shopping and made our way to our hotel. Wow!!! This is one fabulous place. Rhain stayed here 2 years ago the same time as Johnny Depp, so we were hoping to see somebody famous. As we got there we found out that keira knightley has been there filming last week, her new period drama, but we had missed it.
We were shown to our suite which was out of this world, very old fashioned but very classy.
We then made our way down to the bar for a few glasses of wine before returning to the room to get changed for dinner at the hotel.
We started off with Raspberry Lashes champagne cocktails, and then ordered our food which was beautiful, Now I cant remember all the names of what we had but I know there was 7 courses and my main dish was Chicken, my starters was cauliflower something or other and my dessert was Chocolate souffle, as well as other little bits and pieces in between, all washed down with a lovley bottle of White Zindenfel and finished off with coffee and Chocolates. None of us could move after dinner as we were so full.
After a night cap of Baileys we all waddled back to our suite for a good nights sleep.
Friday
We were woken at 8am by room service bringing us Tea, coffee and the morning papers, before getting dressed, having a few photos taken in the gardens, and believe it or not eating a full engilsh breakfast.
We then made our way over to the Spa, where we were given our robes and had our tretments which lasted well over 2 hours of, Head, neck, back and facial massages. Off then into the pool, sauna, steam room, and hot and cold tubs, which was brilliant.
We had a couple more photos taken outside, went back into Bath to have a look around and then caught the train back home. We had a very pampered and loads to eat couple of days and Im sure my diet has taken a serious hit, however it was wonderful and I would do it all again in a hearbeat.
Well done my dear friend on your 25th Anniversary and thank you to my lovely company who footed the extremley large bill
