Just back from the Southwest!!!

3littlepeas,

My family and I (from Miami) were on the trip with you guys. We've not received the mass email from Chris or Tiff. I did get their email addresses from 2 other families on our trip and if you'd like send me an email and I give them to you. We also have not received the info on the photopass; Have you? Can't wait to do another one!

we have not gotten emails either. they told us we would get it within few days. i think i have their cell phone number and can call. will let you know.

hey crazy duck!!!
no i have not gotten anything about photopass either...DH thinks it has something to do with copyrights or something...i guess we'll have to wait and see!
So you're planning another one ...so are we!!! We are waiting for them to release their next adventures, if Africa is in the bunch...guess where we're going !!!!
Talk to you soon!
Julie

Hey Julie!

I just rcvd an email from Chris saying that Tiff sent out all the email addresses over a week ago. I wrote him back and told him there are several of us without the list or info on the photopass. He did mention that she will try to email the list again but from her Disney account. Have you rcvd anything???

Talk to you later,
Walter

For all of you who have been on the tour -

How is the bus?

7 days and counting!!!!!!:hourglass

vvBlue,

Our bus was clean, very well maintained. I would venture to say max 1 yrs old. If it was older than that then they've done a pretty good job on the maintenance. Our driver was very friendly, unforetunately I can't recall his name right now. Unless there is a technical problem with the bus, it will be the same vehicle and driver from begining to end.

I lie, there was a glitch on one of the tv monitors but our guide quickly took care of it by slapping the screen a bit. A little slap and things were back in order!

You'll have an amazing time!

Has anyone else received their backpacks yet? If so, what is the little pouch thing for on the outside of the bag? :rotfl:

Keys, coins, small stuff, iPod headphones....anything you wish. Careful with the loop handle on the top of the bag. Mine broke the first day....

That's a bummer...did you ask for a replacement?

I've been slacking and should have done it soonest I got back. I'll give it a whack tonight and see what they say.

Otherwise the backpack is a very handy item. There really isn't a need to take another pack unless you have tons of stuff you want to carry. But then again on the hikes it's better to pack the essentials and leave space for bottled water.

I was the camel for my family and the thing was loaded with water. When you do the hike up to Delicate Arch it's essential to load it up with as much water as you can reasonably carry. Our trip end of June it was hotter than hades and I must have chugged down at least 10 bottles on the way up. It's amazing on the way down how many folks you come across trying to make the hike up midday and not properly prepared with sufficient water, clothes or shoes. On the way down our group was constantly handing out spare water to those heading up. I came across one guy dressed in black jeans, black t-shirt and penny loafers! I wonder if he made it up the slick rock? Makes you shake you're head in bewilderment .....

Too funny! :rotfl: Thanks for the great advice Crazy Duck. We're going on September 15th, so hopefully it'll be a few degrees cooler by then... :scared:

Mentioned in the other thread... we got our backpacks today.

And I think there is or has been an error regarding the meeting time... the confirmation is saying to meet at 2PM instead of NOON. Isn't that a mistake?

As bicker said above, we got our packet yesterday! :cheer2:

Now, about the blue "luggage spotters" that wrap around the handle of your luggage... it seems to me that the id card would fall right out.

Does anyone who used them know how well does that card actually stay in?

The luggage spotter is pretty resilient. Make sure you wrap it on tightly and the thing will stay in place. Whenever possible try to stick to the 1 bag recommendation. The guides will really appreciate it because they are the ones that lug your bag around the entire adventure.

I noticed your post on the other forum regarding the meeting time. Unless something has changed within the last month you definitely meet at the Starbucks at 2 pm. From there everyone heads down to the bus. Not too worry, when your flight gets in shoot down to the luggage claim area and your guide plus another person with an Adventures by Disney sign will meet you to help collect your things. They'll tell you exactly where to meet and at what time. If you hang around the airport terminal you'll start to notice families with their backpacks, then you'll know you're in the right place.

We are heading in the night before... mainly because they said to arrive before noon. Oh well... not a big deal.

I called them about this yesterday when I noticed the time
They said that they start meeting at 12pm but the bus leaves at 2pm
They say to be there before noon in case of any flight delays for people arriving that day

Hi Crazy Duck, is this Starbucks inside baggage claim or something?
