Just back from the Polynesian!

What a great time! We stayed in Tokelau 1918 and had a great view of the Contemporary and the beach from our patio. Does anyone know where the Poly gets those comfy pillows on the bed?

Did you notice any rehab projects?

Did you try either restaurant or Captain Cooks? Those of us who are Polynesian fanatics are always eager for reports!

This was my first stay at the Polynesian.... we recently purchased a condo, but they weren't done with the renovations in time, hence our resort stay. I did notice that they were working on Fiju and Niue, they had tarps up blocking the first floor patios so you couldn't see the work they were doing. We went to Ohana twice, they have a new dessert of Pineapple/Coconut bread pudding with bananas foster sauce and vanilla bean ice cream..... oh man it was good!!!!

Glad to hear the new dessert was good. We'll be dining there in about a month and a half.

By chance, did you inquire or receive an upgrade at checkin??? Just curious and wondering what the capacity is like at the Poly right now?

We didn't ask for one and I don't believe that we recieved one.... but we did book a garden view room, but had a view of the lagoon and beach over by Tahiti and we could see the Contemporary from our patio. The resort didn't seem to crowded, there were a ton of checkouts on that Moday because of the holiday weekend and then the place seemed empty!
