We got a wake up call from Mickey and woke to sunshine (thank goodness!) We were at MK by 8:10. Dh and DD immediately went to get a fastpass for space mountain. We then went on Dumbo, the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and the Mad Tea Party. There wasn't much of a wait for anything. They were all cute rides and everyone was able to go on all of them.
DH and DD went on Space Mountain - fastpass is wonderful - they got on after a short wait. DD loved the ride(and so did DH). We then went to see Cinderella's surprise celebration, at the castle. DD's went crazy when they saw cinderella - it was a great show! After that, it was very hot and getting crowded (it was around 12:00), so we stopped at an ice cream store on Main Street and then headed back to the hotel.
We decided to go to the pool. It was very crowded. There were no chairs, so we just put our stuff down in front of some chairs that had towels on them, but were defintely not occupied. I suspect someone came earlier in the day and was saving the chairs. After swimming for awhile, a couple sitting next to these "empty" chairs said they have been at the pool for 3 hours and nobody has sat there the whole time. So we took the chairs! The kids loved the pool - it was great with the little ones. My DS was able to sit in the water, or walk around the water. Dh and I enjoyed some pina colads and then we went back to the room for some naps.
After naps and showers we decided to go to the Kona cafe for dinner. We didn't make any PS's for dinner and since it was fourth of July I thought we might have a hard time getting in, but we went around 5:00 and were told it would be a little wait. So DH ordered a couple of Lapu Lapu's and by the time we got our drinks, our table was ready. Dinner was awesome - I had the coconut chicken and Dh had the tuna. Desert was delicious and the Chef was very accomadating to my son's food allergies (as was every chef in Disney).
Now for the best part of my trip. I have to back up a little. My 6 yr old dd LOVES Cinderella. I got a PS for Cinderella's breakfast for MOnday morning. I didn't tell my girls, and in fact I told them I wasn't able to make reservations b/c it was booked. DD was upset. So, on the way to dinner I pretended to have forgotten my cell phone and had to go back to the room. I laid out 2 Cinderella dresses and 2 tiara's that I had bought months ago and hid. I also put out an invitation from Cinderella inviting my girls to be her special guest at breakfast. When we came back to the room, my girls looked at the dresses very confused and dd read the note out loud and both girls started screaming and jumping up and down with excitement. My 6 year old started crying (and so did I). It was a better reaction then I ever could have expected. It is something I will never forget. If I only had that moment, my trip would have been complete right then and there. All night the girls kept saying "I can't believe we are going to have breakfast with Cinderella".
We watched the fireworks from our patio and then went to bed...all excited for our big breakfast tomorrow
