OH MY GOSH.... loved it! We have stayed at a few of the Disney resorts but have to say that the stay at the Beach Club has to be our favorite. Location, location, location is fantastic! We stayed in rm#2530 and loved the view, the back stairs right down to the walkway to either Epcot or the Boardwalk. Another backstairway to the quiet pool or laundry was wonderful. Ate at Cape May for Breakfast and another nite for Dinner. Went to B&C for take out ice cream. Turn down service everynight was a great surprise and hightlight for our 5 yr old son. Housekeeping went out of their way with towel animals and balloons. Had a comp. upgrade to an Epcot view so we sat our everynight(with the exception of going over to MK for wishes) on the full balcony and watched and listened to Illuminations. Incredible. The boat ride over to MGM was easy. I wont even get started on SAB! :) :) Well...I guess by now you know we really had a great time and will be going back to the BC! Thank you to all with your helpful hints and tips prior to the trip! :) :)

Glad you enjoyed BC! It was our family's first resort and will always hold special memories for us too... :goodvibes

Yeah! :cool1: I'm glad you had a great time at the BC- we will be staying there our next trip. Did your room have a day bed in it?

We love The Beach Club. It is over favorite. Have stayed there many times. Our last time there was Christmas and it was just beautiful. We leave for Disney in a couple of weeks, but are not staying there this time. We are traveling with friends and they did not want to spend the extra money. I tried to talk them into it, but no go!
We will be staying at POFQ. Haven't stayed there since they combined the 2 resorts.

Thanks for the report, we will be staying there for the first time in a couple of months. Glad to hear you liked it so much!

Great report. Our next trip in 2006 is at the BC - hoping for AP rates.
Also wondering if your room had a day bed. We need one.
But we only have Garden view room booked. Resort room too steep for our
budget.

How was SAB ? Very crowded ? What would be the best time to go to SAB?
AM - late PM ? I assume mid-day is busy.

Could you track you child/children easily in SAB ? It looks so big to see them at all times.

Thanks !

Glad you had a great trip and that you enjoyed the BC. It is our favorite "Epcot Area" resort!

Glad to hear that you liked the BC. We also love the location. We'll be heading down in less than 2 weeks for 2 weeks at WDW (split between VWL and BCV), then on to VB for 4 nights. This will be our first trip since they remodeled the gift shop in the BC to include quick food items. The lack of an option for quick food is the only complaint that I ever had, so I'm really looking forward to checking it out! Did you have any food from there, and if so, how was it?

Thanks for the report! Our families favorite is the Beach Club as well! We have tried most of the other resorts and we keep coming back to the Beach Club!

Yes our room had a daybed in it. Very nice. :)

SAB was really cool. Loved having the sandy bottom. It is spread out and really had to tag very close behind our 5 yr. old with the exception of the area where the water is only about 2 ft deep with sandy beach digging areas. It wasn't all too busy. We had no problem finding a chair.

I checked it out but didn't really order anything from there. My dh brought up a couple of turkey grinders one night. I went down to get coffee in the morning and the pasteries looked really yummy.

BC is on my list of places I want to stay. We hope to go back in January, and I would love to try BC if it's in the budget!

We really love BC and CMC! It's our home resort and I am so glad we decided to buy there. (OK we stay in the villas, but same thing if you ask me). I love everything about it! Glad you do too! :flower:

What type of room were you originally booked for? How did you get the comp. upgrade, did they offer or did you ask? Staying here for 1st time in Dec. Booked for standard, praying for one of those coveted comp. upgrades.

Were you able to use the walkway to Epcot in the morning? In the past I've noted that the International part of Epcot doesn't open until 11 a.m.

From allearsnet.com:
If Epcot's World Showcase doesn't open as early as Future World does and I can only enter Epcot through World Showcase, how do I get to Future World?

The turnstiles at the International Gateway are open for Epcot resort guests. Once inside the park gates, turn left to walk to Future World. There is a CM there to guide you if you have questions.

we are looking forward to our trip in may 2006. This is our first family gathering. we are staying at bc in the 2br villa.

Does anyone know how close the villas are from the main hotel? and pools?

We will also be at BCV in a 2br villa in May 2006. Going 5/10 thru 5/16, maybe we will be neighbors.

We were originally booked for just a standard view but after researching and researching from these boards found out a few things to request that really made a difference. One was the full balcony (which we received) I also sent in a faxed request 4 days prior after 4 pm that was very nice, not demanding and the only real request was for the full balcony. I did say in the fax that if we were able to see Illuminations from our room just how wonderful and magical it would be. (and it was!) On check in I asked if there were any comp upgrades available and I was told that I was allready booked into what they call an Epcot room. I was VERY nice with no real demands just hopes! :)

Now I'm even more excited (if that's possible, LOL). We will be staying at the BC during our trip this July. Can't wait.
