During my 13 days, I stayed at the AKL, BC and CSR. If anyone has questions regarding those hotels, I'll do my best to answer them.

What room did you have at the AKL...was it on the Savanna?

I was way at the end of the building in the Zebra section. My room number is hidden in the mass of stuff I brought back with me but it will be in my trip report.

The view left a lot to be desired. The last time I stayed at the AKL, I looked out over the large inner savannah. This time I was looking out the back of the building and it was no way near as nice. There was a large chainlink fence and areas of just dirt and rocks. I did get to see quite a few animals but because the surrounding area was so bleak, I didn't take that many pictures.

I would stay there again but the next time I'll fax or call in a room request!

How did you like CSR??

I have mixed feelings about CSR. Among the pros: The landscaping, the pool, the wildlife.

The cons: The sporatic bus service, all the business people, the drunks that seem to live at the bar, the enormous size of the place.

On a scale of 1-10 with POFQ being a 10 on my scale, I'd give CSR a 6.

How and where was your room at the Beach Club? Was it a Water view or Standard View, and what would you recommend?

Yes, how did you like BC, and are there renovations going on?

How did you like moving to three different resorts? I've done this before and wanted to get your opinon on it.:D

Like 8trax question above, I'm interested in finding out what you thought about moving around during your vacation. I am thinking about doing this myself on my next vacation in Dec. with half the days off of the property and then possibly 3 days at moderate on prop. and 2 days at resort on prop. (poss. AKL). Did you have Disney move your luggage for you to the next hotel? Do you think it was worth it to move around often.

I'm not sure what to call my room at the BC! It certainly wasn't a water view. I was so far away from the lobby, I felt like I was in the next state :( My son said it took less time for him to walk from the AsSports to MacDonalds then it did to reach my room at the BC from the entrance to the hotel. OK, that may be a bit of an exaggeration but not much. There was no view to speak of. I could see the front parking area and the roof! On a more positive note, this was the biggest room I've ever had at a WDW hotel. It was enormous! I took numerous pictures of it and will try and post them in the next few days.

Another thing I found strange about the BC is that there are no vending machines on the floors. You can get ice but you have to travel to the store on the first floor to get soda or goodies. Also there was only one elevator area and the stairs were off limits unless there was a fire.

This is the first time I've stayed there so I really can't comment on what rooms might be good. I can say that my room won first place for the longest distance to travel to get out of the building and also for size.

Not that I noticed. I spent most of the time either in the parks or hanging out at SaB. The first time I went in the water was so hot, I only stayed a few minutes. But 2 days later, the water was wonderful, not to mention that slide, and I spent the better part of an afternoon there.

I've moved during many of my trips and actually did 4 hotels during one of them. Basically I didn't really unpack until I got to CSR. I can see where it might be a hassle if you had children with you but because I was only responsible for moving myself, it just took about an hour of my time each time I changed hotels.

I enjoyed experiencing the different sights at each of the resorts. This was my first time at both the BC and CSR. The only hotel I'd be happy to stay at for the entire length of a trip is POFQ and who knows when that will be possible? :(
