Just back from the 7/12 Magic

Just got home from the 7/12 Magic. We went to Kennedy Space Center on Saturday and then Daytona Beach for 2 days.

We (me, DD14, and DD10) had a GREAT time!! The weather was perfect until our day at Castaway Cay was cut short by a thunderstorm. If we had waited long enough we could have gone back to the beach but we went back to the ship when it seemed it wasn't going to let up.

Our servers were Gabor from Hungary and Laura from Romania and they were wonderful. We were at a table with another family with a 14yo DD so she and my DD became quick friends.

We were in room 5137 which is a cat. 11 at the back of deck 5. I was worried about staying at the back of the ship but I would definitely do it again. Since the hall didn't lead to anywhere other than a few more rooms, it was very quiet back there.

Hi, GrumpyMom,

We stayed on the Cay until the thunderstorm was over (I got some GREAT pix of it!). After a while, when the second t-storm didn't come in, they let us back onto the beach. Just about everyone else had left, we got another hour or so of swimming, etc. in. We were just about the last ones back on the ship. So, the day wasn't a total loss. I could have spent another day on CC.

We, too were on the 7/12 cruise. (I'm still on Island time!!!)

The weather was great most of the week. The rain on CC was wild, wasn't it? I didn't think you could get that wet! We finally gave up, as it looked like the rain would never stop, but saw several lucky people back in the water after the storm let up.
