Just back from SSR

We just spent a week at SSR. This was our second time staying there and we loved it even more than the 1st. We stayed in the Grandstand section and we were all in love with it!!!! The kids loved the pool and play area there and we only felt the need to go to the big pool twice. I will always request the Grandstand area.

The resort was well kept and clean, the food at AP was good as always and we tried the Turf Club this trip-food was very good, would definitely go back again. All of the CMs were wonderful! Pleasant and friendly and very helpful! We went to the spa this time-heaven on earth!!! And I loved my DVC discount! I will definitely be back there again!

Crowds were heavier than our usually November trip and it was hot. Love bugs were out but usually only at the pool during the hottest part of the day and there were less as the week went by.

All in all a great trip at a fantastic resort. I will definitely go back to SSR again in the future!!! I just can't believe the trip is over-gotta plan the next one.

So glad you had a great trip. The DW and I are off to SSR on Nov 21st for a 10 day trip. We are Old Key Westers, but my DW loves SSR, so we end up staying there a lot these days.

Did you try the Turf Club potatoes? They are awesome.

We are planning on heading to our new "home" sometime in 2009. We are booked in OKW and AKV for next year, but we can't wait to stay at SSR!

I agree about the grandstand area. We were there this past June and thought between the pool, the pool bar and the proximity to the main area we in the perfect spot. Plus the busstop was just a short stumble from the main entrance. My sister and her family were spoiled and I had to try and break it to them that all the locations were not this well arranged .
Anyway, glad you had a great trip.

Same here! Paddock area. Not bad at all-was on the end towards Congress so right near the bus stop, easy walk to pool and DTD. Group of EMTs down for vacation/EMS Conference. Only issue was no transportation to Orange County Conference Center - $30 cab ride each way for 4 days. Coming from Boston its amazing how horrible public transportation is in Orlando. Staying at SSR made up for it though. 7 of us stayed in a 2 BR and it was perfect. Couldn't have asked for better weather the entire trip!

We stayed at SSR in The Grandstand section last month. We were thrilled with the location as well. We will be requesting that section from now on.

We too loved The Grandstand area when we were there in July. We had a pool view room and loved it.

We were in a two bedroom villa (Paddocks 4810) this January.

Is Grandstand the latest additions to SSR? Anyone can post the latest SSR Map?

Glad you enjoyed your stay at SSR. It's such a beautiful and relaxing resort. We have stayed there from the beginning of our WDW trips and I am really having a hard time convincing myself to try some of the others. I have a trip scheduled to AKV in June and I keep wanting to switch over to SSR. I'm sure my DH would rather be at SSR. The points are cheaper at AKV though, so we will see.
