Hotel very nice, my son had a few problems with room service, but we didn't. At 2 breakfasts at Garden Gallery and it was usual fare, but good. Had 2 dinner buffets there as well and we really liked both, even had friends who moved to Orlando come to meet us for dinner and they loved it. Never tried Mangino's, but would like to. We were disappointed with Evergreens, but loved the pizza we ordered in room late one evening. AM room service was great - could get kids up and dressing while eating - saved time and the portions were huge and well prepared.
Used the pool (Mickey one) and was never too crowded, great time there! Loved the new ice cream parlor next to Evergreens!
We had great maid service (yes, I tipped, though 2 days they did not pick it up). We got our requests of 2 of our 3 rooms connecting, crib and 2nd floor old section. It is a distance from the lobby, but close to the pool - the walk was inside, and less of a walk than we had had at Port Orleans Riverside when we stayed there. The rooms are HUGE, and worked very well for us - loved having a balcony (overlooking the pool - great view) Very clean, and we did not hear the pipes that others had mentioned here. We occasionally heard footsteps overhead, but nothing disturbing. One night the pool had a lot of late activity, but again, not enough to keep us up, just noticed it when we were getting ready for bed.
The partial wall in the old section was great for the baby's crib, she was in her own little alcove and slept very well.
We used the bus service most of the time with no problems - just be careful to note that Blizzard Beach comes every hour on hour, so time it right - and DTD does not run during day at all (we drove). we really liked walking to the Poly and catching the boat to MK and back - and since we had Ohana and Kona reservations, it worked out well. We also would catch the monorail from there as well for Chef Mickeys. The walk was not bad at all and we used the shady shuttle on several occasions, but he does not run after 6 or before 8. A car is helpful if you plan on going to DTD. Also no direct bus to Epcot, have to take TTC bus and catch monorail. But we really had no problem with the busses, many times not crowded at all and the stops were closer to entrances of parks than other buses.
Will do a report, just wanted to get these observations out for those who are wondering....
