There is still a great deal of construction going on and only a third or less of the rooms are open now. This resort is going to be large. I am not sure but it looks like that the resort will be as large or larger than Old Key West. They have a shuttle bus arrangement with Disney transport now between the carriage house and Congress Springs bus stop. Otherwise, this is a good walk.

Our room was nice. It was only a five minute walk from our room to Downtown Disney. The theater and other facilities are being used for DVC sales and member updates. The main pool is nice and the pool near our room was also nice. The Artist Palette is okay for now but needs to be a full service restaruant when the resort is fully open.

I think that this will be a nice resort when it is fully opened.

Glad you had a nice trip. SSR will be larger than OKW when it is finished but I don't remember how much larger.

SSR will have a little over 800 rooms vs +/- 550 at OKW.

SSR will still be smaller than the Yacht Club / Beach Club, the Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk (including both DVC and cash rooms.)

While SSR is large in DVC terms, I believe that it will be the second smallest Disney-owned resort on site, with OKW actually being the smallest.
