My DH and I started our Disney vacation with 2 nights at RPH. I got an AAA rate of $167 and was able to use my Lowes Blue card to get the "extras." We were in room 1514, a king bed room with a pool view. The room was big enough for 2 people but I would not want to be there with 3 or more people in one room. We enjoyed our welcome gift of fruit and water. I requested turndown service and only got it once (and they only left stickers/not candy on the pillow:() The room was quiet and housekeeping was great. I would stay there again, especially for FOTL. It was difficult going to disney after two days of waiting in NO lines (especially over Thanksgiving weekend). I would recommend you end your vacation at US.

My only complaint is the cost of food at RPH. Our first morning we had a quick breakfast at Orchid Court; 2 coffees, a muffin, and bagel was $12.00. It turns out a large coffee is $3.25. It's outrageous

Sounds like a great time. Glad you enjoyed your trip!

A tip with regards the coffe get a smaal one as u get free refills till 11am

We did kind of the reverse spent Sunday before Thanksgiving at Magic Kingdom and stayed at the Contemporary Resort - I was shocked at the crowds and it took over an hour for each ride. The CR was nice but now I can say I have stayed there I won't go again. We got to RPR and were wowed since I think this resort is nice for half the price of what we paid at the CR. FOTL can not be beat and has converted our family to Universal although it wasn't hard to so since I am the huge Disney fan and DH and DS's are not so much. The pool was very nice and we had a folding cooler and went and got milk and juice and cereal and cut the cost of breakfast. We went to the Thanksgiving Buffet and while it was really nice I would rather go to Outback or something along that line for over 1/2 the price. We only had one problem and that was with a barking dog one night - I called and complained and they gladly moved us to another room. Thier records did not indicate the room had a dog but he was in there poor fella - I personally do not understand why you would take your dog on a trip like that but just one person's opinion. I hated to leave my animals for two weeks but I didn't want to walk anyone either after being at the parks all day. RPR does allow pets so next time I will request a no pet hallway just to be sure. Anyway you will love FOTL have a great trip.

What was the welcome gift like? What kind of fruit and water was it! Thanks, this is what I requested as my gift.

It was a large glass bottle of water (you couldn't bring it into the parks) and a basket of fruit with a couple apples, orange, grapes, strawberries and banana. It was decent sized and all very fresh.
