Just Back from RPH - Universal Rocks!!!

Just got home from our 4 nights at the RPH. Room 1312 - loved the lobby level. Considered poolview - but all we saw was a palm tree. No worries....we loved the hotel....the service.... everything. We have done some of the deluxes in WDW (Poly, WL, BC) - but for my money we will stay at the Lowes hotels from now on and go to WDW for day trips. I will post a trip report tomorrow. It was DH, me and DS 6 and DD 4 for our 1st trip to Universal. Did the whole family vacation thing including a trip to the urgent care when DS suddenly came down with a high temp and puking. Aren't kids great!! Anyway, we had a great time and I appreciate all the help I got on this board. I hope my trip report will help for anyone else planning with little ones. What Fun!!!!!

I was on lobby level during my last RPR stay, room 1300 to be exact. I loved being on lobby level as well. I personally love having palm trees right outside the window. Right before I go to sleep, I open the curtains. I like waking up to the natural light rather than the alarm clock (hey, I'm on vacation, no alarm clock allowed). Each morning I would wake up and see beautiful palm trees swaying outside the window. I'd lie in bed for at least 30 minutes just looking out the window. Love it! I'm sorry to hear that your DS got sick...poor kiddo! I hope he's doing better now. I'm looking forward to reading your trip report.

Welcome back. We too have done the Disney deluxes in the past and I completely agree with your comments. We have been Universal converts for five years now. We got back from the HRH last week and did a few evening trips up to the Disney parks. The rest over the time was spent over at Universal Orlando. It was a great combination. look forward to your trip report.
