Wow! That is all I could say for awhile when we arrived at the BCVs. We rented our points from a tremendous DVC member and had a blast. We are now considering buying into the DVC. The place is incredible. We stayed in room 412, a pool view room. We had requested an NS, Epcot view room, but when we arrived they had us in a 4th floor Epcot view, but it was smoking. I didn't want to risk the chance that the room smelled of lingering smoke, so we took another room- 412. It was fine. We really weren't in there all of that much anyway! :) I would be happy to answer any questions anyone has about our stay. It was truly a magical vacation!

Glad to read you enjoyed BCV. As a new owner I'm always curious to see what others have to say about it. I won't go home for the first time until June and can't wait!!! Did you have any issues with the air conditioning? If you used SAB was it crowded? Were the SCMs enforcing the wrist band and no pool-hopping? What size room were you in? Annmarie

To answer some of your questions: Yes the CMs were very strictly enforcing the wrist band rule. I even saw them walking around checking in addition to stopping people who came into the pool area. They need to I can assure you, because the place was packed when we were there. They open at 9 am and by 10am there were towels on almost all of the chairs. ( We saw this on our last day when we went to the pool instead of the parks). We came back to the hotel most days about 3 and it was tough to find even a single lounge chair. The air conditioning was fine in our studio. The water pressure on the shower could have been a bit stronger and I really missed the hotter water temperature that I get at home. I don't know if they have to keep the water temp down for liability reasons, but it wasn't very hot at all. After a long day at the parks, a nice HOT shower would have been great, but we managed.

Hi there,
Glad to hear that you had a great time at BCV. I am considering renting a studio at BCV (after going back and forth between BC, the Swan and AKL) and want to know if you felt like you had enough room. There will be three of us, me (not a small gal), my DH and our 2 y.o. DS. Any feedback you can give me is greatly appreciated!

Glad you had a great trip. We love BCV too, and if you are thinking about buying DVC this forem is a wonderful place to meet people and get info. (everyone has been very helpful to us!!!!) We stayed at BCV less then 2 months ago, and we were in room 410 (one bedroom) I think your studio was the one that conects to our one bedroom!!! We loved that view and location!

Did you do the DVC tour when there? We bought after a trip were we stayed at Poly, but didn't make enough time for the tour and had to get all the info on the phone from home. I wish we had done the tour, but I just didn't want to get the hard sell while on vacation. Funny because I ended up buying anyway, and boy are we glad we did. :D

DeeCeeSW,
I don't know if this matters to you or not but all BCV studios have a queen-sized bed and a double-sized sleeper sofa. My husband and I have a hard time sleeping on a queen-sized bed as our 3 yr. old always wants to jump into bed with us and it's a tight squeeze (plus we're spoiled by our king-sized bed at home!).

Thanks, JOC.
We sleep on a queen-sized bed at home and our little one occasionally joins us with no problems. He has been sleeping in his own little toddler bed for a little over a month now, so we're hoping that he would sleep on the sofa bed by himself. However, my DH and I have agreed to take turns on the sofa bed if our DS must sleep with one of us. I just wanted to know if there is ample space to walk around and whether I would feel really cramped. Would you happen to know the square footage of the studios?

I know it was discussed in a previous thread but I'm not sure of exact square footage for BCV's studios...somewhere between 350-370 sq. ft. I'm sure other DVC'ers will correct me!!

Edited to add: I did a search and BCV's studios are 356 sq. ft.

This great attitude is the one I hear when people rent. I get a vision of people just sitting around the room staring at it and never getting to the parks. They always seem to be in awe. When others think of renters they seem to have the vision of people just trashing the place for fun or having a big party with 20 people in a studio.

Glad you had a great time. Let the person you rented from know how well things went. If you buy from DVC directly they may also get the referall if their state allows them.
