WOW! What a hotel!!!!! I will never stay offsite again when visiting Universal!:bounce: :Pinkbounc
We arrived early and our room was ready!:p I had booked a deluxe room( it was paid for) and was told they were sold out:mad: Ok, how could i have paid in full and then you tell me you are sold out. Well we were given a room with a bay view, our room was credited the difference and we were given free breakfest for each person in our group(4) for each day while were there. This made things much better! The room was great! The service was even better. I can not say enough about FOTL access. We were at Universal on Memorial day and the stand by lines for most rides was 60-180 mins!:earseek: The Mummy was 240min wait. We waited 25mins with FOTL. We did Shrek in about 20 mins the wait was 120mins. Never again will we stay offsite. Any question, please feel free to ask.

Glad to hear you enjoyed PBH! Isn't FOTL the best????

Thanks for sharing!

Thats great how the hotel compensated for their mistake. I can't wait to stay there...someday. I agree there is nothing better than having FOTL. I don't know if we can ever go to another theme park without it! Will you be posting a trip report? I would love to hear about your trip!

fmelchor88 - Could you describe the bath room layout for me in the Bay View room (this is the standard sized room...correct?). How many sinks? Is there a sink inside and outside of the bathroom? How many people did you have in the room and was it comfortable? Were the beds high? Room for a twin airbed?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
We have a Garden View room that I am hoping will be booked up and we will be upgraded to the Bay. :D We are checking in really late at night.

Yeah! Sounds like you had one great time - Makes me want to be there even more... :hyper:

I wonder what happens to get the rooms overbooked. Do people just not check-out when they are supposed to? Do the 3rd party dealers like Travelocity oversell? Or do they always oversell assuming there will be cancellations. It would be interesting to find out.

Glad to hear that it all worked out for you.

I will be posting a a trip report later today.

Damo-I booked the room on the Universal web site. I was told by the front desk clerk that the reservation only guarantees you a room NOT the one that was reserved.:earseek: Go figure...

Familyof14-The rest room was LARGE! There were 2 sinks inside. There were none on the outside. Plenty of room. There were 4 in our group. The beds were not high and they were comfortable. The only thing was the pillows. They were very fluffy. I like flat pillows. There is a table and you may need to move it to make room for the twin air mattress.

Thanks! I was hoping that the beds were high off the ground so that we could store the air mattress underneath one. I saw a video of the hotel and it showed high beds.

I am glad to know that the standard bath has two sinks and plenty of room. I knew the deluxe bath was large, but we didn't want the bath that had a open shower and an additional tub because of lack of privacy.
