Just back from POR... very disappointed

That was the one I was thinking about of which I totally agree!

We just got back for POR, stayed there from June 28- July 13. We were in AB building 26.

We also noticed that the bus stop was a mess (the main one is the only one we used so don't know on the others) so after 3 days of seeing that we complained to the front desk, and by the next night it was cleaned up. This was during this past week of July.

We also did EMH to AK on July 4th, but we got to AK right about 8:00 am. We were at the bus stop (the main one) at about 7:20 every morning and waited awhile for buses but I don't think it was ever longer than 20 minutes. We did see that MK was getting more buses to every one of AK. We probably got on the bus at about 7:40ish and it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to AK with the other stops included. I agree the buses were crowded but we always made it to the EMH park at about 8:00. Maybe if you were at a different bus stop you would have to wait longer since if the buses are full they won't stop at the other ones.

Our room was always done early. If we went back to the room at 1:00 our room was done. We got towel animals (first time for us so we didn't expect them). All depends on the mousekeeping you get I guess.

I guess everyone has a different experience there, but for us it was just as good as it has been in the past, besides the trash.

i will definetly let you know how the resort was when i return- i am praying real hard that it has gotten better- i too am not usually a big complainer but stuff like this would have really ticked me off!!

for EE for MK do you have any suggestions what time to be at the bus stop? i would hate to be late for EE- especially to MK!!

Oh boy !!..we leave for POR exactly one month from today. Aug. 14th - 24th and family is joining us on Aug. 20th - 24. All in all we will have 7 of us in 3 rooms at POR.

I read other post on these boards about bad POR reviews and we just did not want to believe them seeing POR is our favorite.

BUT these POR trip reports are starting to become more frequently bad...which is now making us a bit nervous.

As one poster said..."we are paying alot of money."

Rooms not done by 4 ??.....thats not good...our 3yro nephew and 6 Mo neice are going to be with us starting the 20th. And they too will need naps.

We were also there last Thanksgiving and everything was perfect.

What a difference 8 months can make !!!!

I would have complained...complained...and complained.
And I am not that type of person.
