Just back from POR...hotel, crowds, Star Wars...any questions...fire away!

Just back from a week in the World. I'll post a complete trip report later, but wanted to post and answer any questions about the hotel/parks/crowds etc. We stayed at POR and it was a very nice resort...much better than I expected. Parks seemed very busy, but lines for the rides were not that bad. Crowds at the Studios for Star Wars Weekends were very large around the main exhibit areas. Weather was very hot...not a drop of rain for the whole week. Any questions...fire away!

We got back last week and I kept saying it felt like there were lots of people walking around but no lines for the rides. Weird

We've been there a few times in the past few years and it seemed busier than ever...after parades or at food lineups it was crazy...TOT was a walk on all week...20-30 minutes for headliners seemed to be about the norm. Downtown Disney was insanely crazy though...don't ever go there in the evenings...you can't even move.

We were at POR also 5/19-23. MGM was very crowded on Sun. I don't think I would go on Star Wars weekend again. The longest wait we saw was 30 minutes, but we used fastpass for that ride. We did enjoy ourselves and really liked POR.

Hi!

We are traveling to Disney World specifically for Star Wars weekend next Friday. DS is 5 and is obsessed with Star Wars.

Can you tell me what Star Wars characters are around? Do kids get dressed up? My son wants to be Luke Skywalker-word of warning, if you see a sorry looking Luke Skywalker, that is my beloved darling little boy.
