Just back from POR any questions. Kinda long.

Howdy everyone,

I am just back from one of the best vacations I have every had. It was so Magical. We stayed at POR from 10/18 - 10/25. We were in Aligator Bayou room 2703. The room was clean and the mousekeeper was great, lots of towel animals and my duaghter's toys in fun positions. This is the best BLDG in my opinion. It was close to the main hall and main pool and very close to a quiet pool. The view from all of the rooms was great , no parking lot views from any of the rooms in this Bldg.The hotel was booked solid but didn't really seem crowded. The maid said that on 10/19 they had 700 rooms turning over. I think this had to do with a convention that was going on.

By the way, my brother in-law was with us from 10/18 - 10/22 and we were not charge and extra for him. We were also not charged for the trundle bed in the room!!

We also decided to buy into the Vacation Club while we were there!! Saratoga Springs here we come 12/2004

We just booked a 8 nite stay for Xmas...
I've stayed at POR 2 years ago and loved it....
Was your room facing the Main Food Hall or the
Bayou? It was so nice for us to skip over to the
food hall (we Faced it) and get breakfast in the am!
We had a corner room and it seemed larger...
Would appreciate any info!!

Hi guys,

We were is Bldg 27. It is the 3rd Bldg from the main hall. Not a far walk to it or the main bus stop. I really wanted Bldg 14 but after looking at it some of it faces a parking lot, not the best view in my opinion. Bldg 27 face the river or a court yard, a much better view in my opinion. Have a great time. We've stayed at POR 4 time in the past 8 years & I'm going to miss staying thier now that we own the Vacation Club but that's OK on to bigger things.

Just wanted to say that we turned over one of those 700 rooms on 10/19. Boo-hoo!!

We were thinking about staying at the POR before our cruise on the Magic. How did you get to the parks (especially Magic Kingdom) and how long was the wait? Is there transportation to Downtown Disney or is it walking distance? Thanks!

halfway there, my brother and I were another one of those rooms that had to be turned over on the 19th! POR is a great resort. I wish we were there longer. Oh, and that we had something better than a parking lot view. But that didn't ruin our stay. I loved walking around the pathways and along the river, especially in the morning with the sun coming up. Beautiful!

We really love this resort, the grounds are so beautiful. You can get bus service to all of the parks and Downtown Disney. The wait for the buses was not long at all, 10 to 15 min. at the most. There is also a boat that goes to down town, from 9 or 10 am to 4pm it runs every hour and from 4pm until 11pm it runs every 15 min. We love to take the boat, some of the drivers give a bunch of info while on the way down. It takes about 20 min. to get to downtown by the boat but it it very enjoyable.
