We just back from a 6 night stay at Pop Century.

Just a few observations.

Our first night we were in a 3rd Floor King Room with a Roll-In Shower. (So much for calling Special Services and requesting 1st Floor with a Tub and Grab Bars).

The King Bed was as hard as a brick and we don't like the roll-in shower at all.

The next morning we changed to a 1st floor with two doubles and a standard tub. It was not an accessible room, but that doesn't really matter to us, we really wanted first floor.

We were in 3119. The room was nice and clean, and we were overlooking the lake. The double beds were much more comfortable.

Everbody says the PoP has beds on platforms, but these were standard bed frames. This room did have two peep holes, so maybe it used to be an accessible room and they swapped the bedding out at some point.

Bus service TO the parks was just fine. Never had to wait long for a bus.

Bus service FROM Magic Kingdom and Epcot at the end of evening EMH was a zoo.

They were using two stations worth of rope lanes to hold all of the people and it made it almost impossible to get our ECVs to the correct loading position. We were bypassed by at least 3 buses because of the way the ropes were set up.

The food court was just fine for the few breakfasts we ate there. The folks at Petals Pool Bar were fun.

I was really impressed with all the messages the staff left for us. There was a message upon arrival about picking up our Luau tickets, there was a message to make sure our room switch went smoothly, there were messages about picking up our packages, and there was a message making sure we understood our checkout and Magical Express information.

They are currently doing some refurb of the Luggage Services station, so that is a bit of a mess.

A very friendly and efficient resort. We too found the busses back to the resort at night to be chaotic, and that's being polite. However, we all got there. Now, what about those peep holes?

Every resort door has peep holes for the guest to look out when someone knocks on their door. Accessible rooms have two peep holes, (one at regular height and one a bit lower) so that someone in a seated position (such as a wheelchair) can see out the peephole.

Whew. I was concerned about this. :lmao:

I hope none of the peepholes are reversed, like in that Seinfeld episode where Kramer reversed the peephole on his door. :rotfl2:
