just got back from 7 days at POP 8/28-9/4 we went with a group of 16 we all had a great time. I was a little leary of POP since last year we stayed at the Contemporary, but all of our group was staying at POP so we decided to go for it. I am glad we did. My dh really liked it and said he would stay there again it saved us a lot of money!
We were in a preferred bulding in the 50s section lady and the tramp bulding were were facing the woods. it was quiet! A short walk to the main pool and the food court.
the buses were OK most of the time the wait was not more than 5-10 minutes It always took the longest leaving the parks.
We did a pirate and princess party on the 31st which was awesome every one in our group loved it we walked on all the rides! we stayed to the very end even with little ones and walked right on a bus at the end!

We did free dining and loved all the food we made our adrs 6 months ago so we got everythig we wanted I even was able to change some adrs while there my sister and her family wanted to eat breakfast at CP before opening we got them in 2 days before! 2 complaints about the dining plan. When you go with a big group and and your family is split between rooms it is very confusing with the card situation. I think they should take everybodys individual card instead of a card for each room. My cousin wa charged double at Whispering Canyon in all the confusion, it did get fixed quickly with a trip to the conceirge. My other compaint is the kids quick service menu!! How much mac and cheese and nuggets can a kid eat. Disney really needs to expand their kids menu for quick service. luckily I realized early that quick service meals are pooled so I just ordererd my kids meals of the adult menu please no flames it was mostly just a hot dog I can't believe a hot dog would not be on a kids menu!!!!

we also went to look at the dvc they are BEAUTIFUL and dh and I are really thinking of buying points!

we also did the kids program at Typhon lagoon my kids ages dd5 and ds3 really liked it, they played water games( Not in the pool) arts and crafts gave them lunch ( A hot dog was one of the choices!) and my dd really liked the scavenger hunt! This was all free! I really liked it because it gave me time to spend with my older kids on some of the bigger slides my younger kids could not go on! They stayed to just after the scavenger hunt after lunch then we picked them up and did the lazy river with them and a little of the wave pool. it was just enough for them.

we had a great time and can't wait to plan our next trip any questions please ask!

I've heard of this program but I'm wondering how you can sign up for it and how long does it last? Will it still be in effect for my trip on 9-19? What is the cost?

when we did it we signed up at our hotel there was sign in the lobby. It was free but I think that was because it is a trial I am not sure if it will still be free in September.
the program lasted from about 10 am to 2pm we dropped off our kids about 10:30 and picked them up about 1pm.

We were in the 50's building last week too (8/28 - 9/1/). We probably walked by your room since we were in 1106 and 1007.

We thought Pop was a very good value for the money. We usually stay deluxe and I, too, was a little leary. My DH said he could stay there again, too.

We loved the free dining. What a bargain!

Glad you had good time.

We were at POP from8/2- to 8/25 and LOVED it. We were in the 70's building in the back looking at the lake. Nice and relaxing!!!! Not to mention quiet. Didn't notice the turbo toilets, either...We stayed in a deluxe last year and liked POP MUCH better.

Thanks for your review :rotfl:
We will be there in a few weeks, its great to hear so many positive comments from people who have stayed there recently.
Thanks for sharing :hippie:

Sounds nice! Are many rooms and buildings overlooking the lake? And are they all quieter? I am more concerned about that and something nice to look at then being close to the pool. What floor did you stay on. Should we be requesting the 4th floor? We stayed at WL and loved it!! I love the boat ride to MK. But we are looking into POP. I've heard quite a few say it's a good value for your money!:goodvibes We are hoping to not be disapointed.:upsidedow The other thing I was thinking was the WL when we were there in Sept 2005 was not too busy and it seems like everyone books the values, especially during free dining.

What do you all think? And has anyone stayed at All Star Movies? That is the only other value I am looking in to.
