We just returned last night after 4 nights at Pop Century. Loved the resort, and all the theming. We stayed in the 70's. I agree that the walk to the 90's is only 5 minutes at most. The pools were some what warm. Warm enough for our kids to swim twice. No problems at check in. We checked in at 10 on the 14th. After checking out the room, we ate at the food court and our cards would not work. No problems, the cashier took care of our charge at the front desk, and had our cards fixed--no more problems.
The food was good. I don't think that I could eat there for a whole week, but there was a wide variety offered. Used the mugs like at the other resorts and saved lots of money. The kids loved the frozen Cokes! Best thing I found at the food court was the ice cream sandwiches, the cookies were great!!!
Busses worked great. We even had a bus driver take us from Animal Kingdom Lodge, where we ate dinner, all the way back to our hotel because we looked cold! So nice. One funny bus story to tell, we were at Epcot very late and found no bus available. A cast member called a bus for us. When we boarded the driver asked us for directions to the hotel! He got them from us and another driver. When we got to the resort, he asked us where to park the bus. He apoliged a million times on that trip. I know that he must have felt really bad. We still laugh about that.
When we checked in we had no problems parking near the 70's building. When we checked out the lot was full! The 70's are a short walk to the busses as well as a short walk to the main building.
Can't wait for the Legendary years to open!
