who seemed to be slighltly cheaper than anyone else for exactly the same package deal...

my travel where fine...except on arrival this morn back at glasgow we where kept on plane for 20 minutes after touch down sonce our gat was as the captain apologised still in use he went on to say that as glasgow became busier each season this type of delay on touchdwon was becoming more and more common and as he said most unwelcome after a long flight....

but hey thats the only negative thing i can say the food and staff on both the way out and back were great....

cheers

harry

My friend was on that flight :) We travelled at similar hours in May, can't remember who the flight was with now but the same thing happened on arrival at Glasgow and we put it down to being an hour early arriving. Captain muttered something about the one person on duty in Glasgow at that time in the morning must be having his tea break :)

We stayed at POP last year and also found the bus service good and the cheapest method of going by taxi was to Disney bus it to DTD and then pick up a taxi for wherever you are going.

the bbq was good / different ..... i enjoyed it my wife sort of enjoyed it but the 'wean' daughter aged 10 thought it was ok ...its not really a bbq lets get that clear ..

at the wilderness resort they have abig roofed but open side barn thingy and a section where food is laid out in servers .the food was plentiful and... hot dogs salad stuff etc etc .....and ice creams in big ice cream chillers cabinents ....a section where soft drinks coould be poured self service ..and a bar area where beer and wine was available as much as you wanted ....

we had spent the afternoon at wilderness daughter had a 2.30 horse ride and we had arrived earlier to eat dinner in the trail end buffet restraunt..big mistake ..food was so good and the server so good that we over indulged ..me on ice cold bud....anyway i took daughter ..a bus ride away ..the size of that resort defies description..to the tri circle stables for her hour ride adn it was roasting there .so on return i indulged in another couple of cold buds..the wife and her pal had spent the hour sitting on rocking chairs on the veranda at trails end eating ice creams..but to get back on track..

by chance and it was atruely magic moment friends of ours who we knew where in disney the week before us showed up and got tickets on spec for the bbq ...so in we all went to the bbq ...

the entertainment was good in that there was a country band and the compares where good and a rope guy was good......and the characters came out a few times.....but wife thouigh the wine was well not palatable ...but me and friends enjoyed the beer and statred chatting away to a texan family ..and grandpaw had beena true working the cattle cowboy and we had a ball..but at aboiut 9ish the decison was taken that we could head over to magic kingdom by boat to take in fireworks and this is what we did .....and it roundedof a great night..

so to sum up....if your kids are still into character interaction...my daughter is now at the difficult 10 year old stage and people dressed up isnt cool anymore..how they lose their innocence way too quickly nowadays...

and your prepared to have afun get up and line dance and have a natter to those around you then yes i would do it again.....and of course you like beer ....

if your a wee bit reserved then maybe the bbq isnt something that youd enjoy..

I hope my explanation helps and hasnt confused...

cheers harry

if i could figure out how to attach piccies i would attach some........ or if you want i could email you some

cheers again

you were lucky then , we were on the later one at 12.45 but it was delayed until 18.00. I thought My Travel were fine, we didn't let the delay get to us . We would definately use them again, infact we have booked with them for next year although going to go out on the Saturday next time which is an 11.00 flight. thought they crew were helpful and I can tell you they got some moans because of the delay which wasn't their fault. Yeh all in all was pleased with them.

were you in Premair ?

very picky if you ask me ....we were in room 4450 friends where in 4451 ...and adjoining door was between the rooms and we heard nothing form each others rooms.

on the first night hard to get to sleep etcetc new bed still on a adrenalin high , wee bit jet lagged etc etc I did hear noise through he night and the occasional ping from the lifts arriving on the floor ....but the second night after first full day in the parks i slept like alog and heard nothing.

a few other truths about the resort ...it is big but really no matter where you are put room wise your only a few minutes walk/ stroll from the front and food hall and buses.

the main petals pool was alway busy ..we would go over to the computer pool or the bowling pool..less bizzy .......

the theming of the resort is big brash colourful and fun.........foodhall does get bizzy seemed to be that 10 ocklockish in the morn and 6 ish at night were busiest but we alwys got a seat.

cocktail / beer prices where a touch on the high side ..5 dollars for a pint size bottle of bud ..sold in plastic bottles from bars and about 10 dollars for a cocktail...pina colava in plastic keepsake cocktail glass ....very nice and like arum coconut slushie.......

we stocked up on beer drinks at crossroads ....and supplemeted with bar in evening..

well cheers the noo

pop century ..disney ts the bizz .....and im a tight scotsman!!!
