Our first time at the poly!! WOW!!! We stayed in the Tahiti longhouse w/ a lagoon view room, room 3030, Our view was INCREDIBLE! We watched the fireworks every night from our belcony. The room was large and clean. Contrary to other reports of a funny smell and being dirty. It was worth every penny, we're already planning next year, we thought it was going to be a one time vacation --- we're hooked!! Dinner at Ohana's was AWESOME, my husband and I took the kids to the Neverland Club our last night (they loved it) and we ate alone! The shrimp (all you can eat 24.99/person) was incredible, pork was awsome, beef, sides everything, best meal we had! I think the character breakfast at Ohana's was more enjoyable for the kids than Cinderella's Royal Table! The Polynesian does a bang up job!!! Our only disappoinment was the Coral Reef at Epcot. WAY overpriced for the portion and the decor is gaudy! I STRONGLY recommend the Polynesian, we will probably not even try any other resort!

Glad to hear that you really enjoyed yourself. I am staying at the Poly for the first time in September. I have a feeling that I will fall in love with it.

Thanks for the report!

Glad you liked it
Love the POLY ::MickeyMo
And Kona Coffee??? did you forget
get the press pot next year it is even better

:bounce:

Glad you liked the Polynesian, its my favorite resort. Did you try the Tonga Toast at Kona cafe, its yummy.

The Poly is our favorite resort as well. Tried it last year for the first time. Never stayed in lagoon view - that would be nice. I'm too cheap to pay for it. :rolleyes1

Oh, so jealous here. Really trying to get together the $$ to stay here next year. Always been a dream of mine!

::MinnieMo I'm so glad you had a great time. Thanks for posting!

Funny you should type that, we went there last trip, and I'm apprehensive about staying anywhere else...afraid it will be a let down compared to the Poly. Glad you enjoyed it!

I forgot to mention, after our terrible dinner at Coral Reef, and we ordered pizza when we got back to poly, we called down to the front desk for a refridgerator for the left-overs, it was delivered in less than 30 minutes! Just so you know there is no charge for this.

Thank you - I am so glad to hear your great time. We leave on Friday for our first Poly stay. I can't wait!!!

We are doing Ohana's, we always go there but it will be nice to stay there when we are done :cool1:

At the breakfast, what characters were there? We are doing it our last day there to say "good-bye" to them

Just wondering if you heard when the construction/remodel in the GCH will be done?? Thanks.
:)

I keep hearing great things about the POLY and to tell you honestly, when we "visited" it a few years ago i wasnt that impressed, but i am REALLY wanting to try it. AKL was WONDERFUL and i really want to go back, but I dont want to fall into the "trap" of only 1 resort. How much am i looking at for a week at the poly in April next year...rough estimate would be fine. and i'm lookin for a room with a VIEW since i LOVE fire works...

Glad you went for the lagoon view. I spend little time in my room but it is always something that we look forward to going back to the room so we can peek out the door at the lagoon and what ever is going on around the lagoon.

Aloha

Steve

Ahh, the Polynesian! :boat: :boat:

Yet another family joins the club! :wave2:

Glad your vacation was great and that you discovered the magic of the Polynesian. :wizard:

We stayed 5 nights and it was around $3500.00 including parkhopper tickets and we had a lagoon view.

Yet another "all new" Polynesian fan.

Tahiti is THE BEST - I absolutley LOVED the building (in a LV room) and I wouldn't go for concierge even if I was upgraded for free......nothing beats the larger rooms and more private beach of Tahiti!

Glad you had a magical trip!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Tahiti is our favorite also.....i can't believe we are staying at BWI for a few nights....DH wants to try new things, if it was up to me, we would always be at Poly.

kona coffee, fireworks, monorail, and TONGA TOAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
