Just returned from a restful 5 nights at the Poly. (Returned home May 5th) This was our second trip ever to WDW. (The first was in July 2001 for our Land/Sea honeymoon...also in the Poly)

Crowds were minimal...I can't remember waiting much longer than 15 minutes for anything.

We had breakfast/dinners/lunches at Sci Fi, Ohana, Kona Cafe (2), Hollywood & Vine, 1900 Park Fare, Rainforest Cafe, and Planet Holywood.

We stayed in Tahiti, though we requested Fiji.

We were not planning on going again for a least a year, but when we got back and I read the posts about the new package, I don't know how we can't go before Novemeber! What a deal. More nights for less than we paid for this trip!

I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have!

Were you dissapointed that you were not in Figi... did you like Tahiti...thanks...amy

Hi and welcome back!

What made you go back to Kona Cafe twice? I'm planning on going there for the first time in a couple of weeks. What foods do you recommend there?

TIA!

Q

hi,
did you do charachter meal at Ohana's? How was bfst at Konas? Leaving Tuesday!!!! cant wait.

We were dissapointed that we were not in Fiji becuase we wanted to be "closer to the action." In the end though we were happy with Tahiti because it was quite and romantic and had its own area of beach that nobody seemed to use.

We went to Kona Cafe 3 times now that I think about it. The first day for lunch (I had the mahi mahi sandwhich and my wife had some sort of chicken stir fry) and then we went for breakfast a few days later and both had the Tonga Toast. (Good, but way too sweet for our liking!) We then stopped by for dessert one night after Fantasmic and shared the Koko Puffs! The desserts there are top notch!

We went to Ohanas for dinner so there were no characters...just lots of tasty meat. Breakfast at Kona's was good, just the toast was too much. Other people's breakfast looked very good. Kona Cafe is very reasonably priced for what you get considering where you are at. I would always recommend it...it has a nice casual atmosphere.

The first day it poured for about an hour and then cleared up. The next day it lightly rained all morning and from that afternoon on it was good weather. Sunny and somewhere between 88-95.

Did you have a long walk from Tahiti to get to the Volcano pool and GCH?? thanks..amy

Sounds like a good trip. Thanks for reporting...love hearing about the Polynesian!

Which longhouse will you request if you return or will you request one at all?
