Hey All!

We just got back from a wonderful week at the Poly! We had a wonderful room (GV) . We could even see the castle by standing on our balcony and looking through two longhouses. I'll be happy to answer any questions!

P.S. I wore my lime green ribbon all week and didn't see a single one!

I know I had at least one DIS'er family on board my bus this past week...

WDWtrip nut....where was your room located?? I have never been to the poly so any tips would be great.... Did you go down the slide???? thanks..amy

We stayed in Tokelau (3rd floor) room 3943. For those of you interested, I faxed my request 4 days before requesting Fiji,3rd floor, facing the marina. We arrived at 11:00 a.m. and the CM said I had been given everything on my request-but-the room was not ready. I could have waited for this room or have Tokelau without waiting. I chose Tokelau since I knew from these boards(hee hee) that it was also a good choice. Just a side note- We walked through Rarotonga one morning on the way to the Great Ceremonial House and it smelled AWFUL! It was so bad that my husband and kids all said " It STINKS in here!"

Yes, I did go down the slide. It was fun but be sure to lie down on your back. I sat the first time and hit my head going down.(I'm not THAT tall) LOL

Look in your Island Palm Press for the torch lighting ceremony. The kids really liked it and it doesn't last long. It starts in the lobby near the front door.

Hope you have a great time ( as we did)! If I can answer any more ques. , let me know!

We were in room 3947 in Tokelau this summer and you're right the view is really great. Loved looking at the quiet pool and seeing the castle from the balcony even though it wasn't the best view of it, it was still neat to see it from our room. Next time I want to try out Fiji. I actually requested it last time but it was being renovated. I don't think the location of Tokelau can be beat though for a garden view room.
