Just back from a last minute 3 night trip to POFQ. This is our second time at this resort, and again, everything was great. They did a great job with our room request (especially considering I called in the morning for arrival that night, though low crowds probably helped.) Wouldn't think twice about going a 3rd time. Any questions?

Hi, Our trip is in days, and I'm about to fax my room request to FQ. Which building were you in, and what were your requests? What was your family's favorite thing about FQ? Your least?

Thanks!!!

Last time we were in 4126, it was a corner room, right next to the food court, parking and bus stops, one room building over from the pool and the lobby was next to the food court. We loved it. I requested the same room or something close to it in building four and got 4226, same room, one floor up. Just as wonderful (except for the brief moments of carrying our luggage up ;)

Favorites: The atmosphere, it's just beautiful. And as my daughter said this time "I'm so happy to be back in this city" If she thinks it's a little city, Disney has obviously done their job designing this resort! The pool (though we didn't use it this time), the food court (just right for us) It's SO easy to get anywhere in the resort. The boat rides to downtown disney (we've done this both times, our daughter really enjoys it)

Least favorites....
I'd have to say the double beds, I'd prefer queens and maybe a larger room, with a more seperate bathroom, but it is adequate, and I'm sure we'll return.

I've made my requests and am counting the hours 'til we leave!!!

Your daughter's comment about her favorite city is adorable. My daughters (3 and 7) are going to love the "city" and boat to DD too! :)

We are in the process of deciding between FQ and Riverside, so I was happy to see your post. Thanks for the info and glad you had such a good time. Did you do the carriage ride? What were the busses like?

We didn't do a carriage ride.

The buses were great. This is the first time we did the busses exclusively, no driving. The wait time was always minimal. What's nice about FQ is the busses pick up there first before going to the riverside stops, and drops off at FQ first.

Let me ask you . how were the rooms were they clean?I have read in some of the threads that they had dirty rooms and can be very dark. What do you think?
what about the service was it good bad or ugly?
We are still wondering if it is worth splitting up a 12 day trip or just spend the time in POFQ. Personaly I hate moving,is this resort worth 12 days? What was the longest and shortest Bus wait and ride? Would you request a water view or standard? wuould you stay on the top floor or bottom floors if you had the choice? Sorry for all the questions but we are very excited about or trip:Pinkbounc :jester: :p  :bounce:

how were the rooms were they clean?

Our rooms have always been clean. I did notice some a few small stains on the carpet, but they were clean and didn't bother me. I would imagine if for some reason you get a room that something was missed in, they would come quickly to clean it.

As far as Dark, sure if you have the privacy shades drawn LOL. There are wooden blinds and privacy drapes to go over those. During the day with everything open it's bright to me. Maybe if your room was facing the opposite way as the sun was shining (i.e. window facing east during late afternoon) it would seem darker.

what about the service was it good bad or ugly?

The service was great. Good maid service and everyone was very pleasant and helpful, from the front desk to the food court chefs.

What was the longest and shortest Bus wait and ride?

One time the bus pulled up as we walked up, I think outside MK during the afternoon we waited about 15 minutes. Going to MK in the morning all together about 20 minutes I think, including the stops at POR. We've always driven to the parks before, and I think this is much quicker, especially if you figure in walk/tram/monorail/line times. It's also very easy.

Would you request a water view or standard?

We request standard. Our rooms have always technically faced the parking lot, though there was a building with a wall around it and trees blocking the view. If you were further down in building 4 there is a courtyard type of thing before the parking lot. I don't need a view, so I don't pay for one. Personally, when I'm in my room, I don't spend much time looking out the window. I'd rather be closer to things.

would you stay on the top floor or bottom floors if you had the choice?

We stayed on ground and 2nd floors. 2nd was fine, but I'd prefer ground, because it's just a little bit easier. We never heard much noise, the occasionally loud runner on an upper walkway, toilet flush or something, but nothing bothersome.

We are still wondering if it is worth splitting up a 12 day trip or just spend the time in POFQ.

For me I don't think I'd like splitting resorts. I think I would just dread the packing and unpacking and the repacking and unpacking, etc. I'm a squatter and totally unpack, load up the drawers, hang clothes, put toiletries in the bathroom etc. Some people live out of suitcases, I think changing resorts would be easier for them. I'd personally go insane living out of suitcases LOL. Changing resorts just isn't something I'm interested in.

Thanks for all the info about your stay @FQ !

Are there elevators to the top floors of the FQ buildings?

I'm pretty sure there are, but since I believe they were much farther down the building (we were on the end) I didn't actually see them.
