Hello everyone,

Just getting back from POFQ and getting my dose of the DIS. Have to say it was a good break. Will write up a report later tonight. I do have to say the buses were HORRIBLE... I now know how many sardines can fit into a Disney Bus... :headache:

Anyway, will let you know about our trip and the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party. That was a blast...

Sorry to hear about the buses. Was it always that way, or only at park closing?

My sister and I stayed at POFQ last year, and even though we enjoyed our stay there we found the buses to be very crowded too. There were several days where I didn't think there was any way they would be able to squeeze more people on the bus, and each time they did. There was along of skin contact with strangers. ;)

I haven't been there in a few years but I see it hasn't changed any. That was my biggest complaint about the resort along with lack of amenities.

Sounds the same as when we were there in July '05. So sorry for you, but happy that MNSSHP was fun. Sadly we won't be going since DDs don't feel comfortable missing school. It's rough getting old!

Hello, neighbor! I see you're from Crouse. We are just down the road, just outside of Cherryville.

Sorry to hear about the buses, but I've had that experience at other resorts, too. Can't wait to read all about MNSSHP. We plan on going next October.

Sorry about your stay. Our experience with the buses at POR was no better so I know what you mean. I thought POFQ had the better end of it though.

Another one??? Amazing....

OP - sorry about your trouble with the buses. Looking forward to the rest of your trip report, hope you had a good stay otherwise!

We just returned late last night from POFQ and thought the busses were great! We kept commenting on how great the bus service was this trip. Maybe we were just lucky:confused3 We thought the food cout was AWFUL though!!!!! It was dirty, the people rude, and the selection horrible. It was almost enough to make me not want to stay there again. we did go over to Riverside to eat one day and really enjoyed their food court!

That's the main reason I won't go back to POFQ but there are others. Didn't not care for it one bit.

We were at POFQ Sept. 7-16. We didn't have any bus problems and the food court was fine. We didn't eat there often but it was always very clean. We had a wonderful 9 days there.

Oh, so you didn't know all this before you booked the resort?
If you must know...it was my first resort and first first trip to WDW. I didn't know. Not everyone studies here at the DIS prior to their trip. The TA suggested we stay there and I believed her. That trip was taken before I found the DIS and all it's helpful info. All I knew was it was a moderately price resort. Couldn't afford the deluxes.

Oh ok. Well, I think POFQ is an awesome resort and perfect for families of all kinds - kids or no kids. I guess if a marina and sit down restaurant was that important to you, you should've asked the TA about it. Just common sense I guess.

It was fine when that was all I knew but then I visited POR and CSR and realized other moderate resorts offered so much more than POFQ. No biggie, to each their own.

So true! CSR has so much more.
