We spent 3 nights at POFQ after a week offsite and I loved it! We were in building 5 2nd floor, with a river view. The building was right near everything- the pool, food court, lobby, parking lot.We all enjoyed the pool, my 2.5 yo even went down the slide, with me catching him at the bottom. I liked the life jackets at the pool. He and my 4yo DD wore one everyday. Our room was clean and we got towel animals, which my kids loved. My DH and 9 yo liked the pin trading in the lobby, we went to Riverside one night and my son found pins he needed.
The only down side to POFQ was the food court. Getting the food took a long time. One morning I ordered pancakes, no bacon. It took 3 orders coming out before she remembered no bacon. One afternoon I was refilling my mug and the floor and drink station really needed a cleaning. The food court was empty at that time too. Other than that I have no complaints.

Glad to hear about your nice stay at POFQ! Unfortunately the food court seems to be an issue with a lot of people staying there. I have seen some pictures, and even for a resort of that size it looks too small, and IMO tacky. :)

We just booked for Jan 2008... wife, me and two kids 7 and 9 years old

We did POR this spring and loved it, but wanted to try another mod

CBR has pool repair so that was out

We don't use the food court often, as my wife is one of those meal planners and we will be having meals at the parks. So no worries there

How was the slide at the pool? We loved POR pool and know we can walk to use that, but hoping FQ pool is as nice.

Arcade? did you happen to see if they have, even a small one there

How was busses from there? Our only issue with POR was the busses. Always standing and always waited for another bus as it was that packed. Seemed to us that FQ always got on first and off first.

I was planning to start a thread like this to thank all the DIS-ers for the advice to try POFQ! DF and I just got back on Sunday and we really liked it. I agree that the food court was slow, without the lines being overly long....The food just seemed to take a long time. But we liked the room and the grounds. We were in building 1 and found it to be very quiet. The whole resort seemed quiet and we came/went at all times of day. Mousekeeping was good and we also got towel animals! :)

The buses usually go to pick up at FQ first, so you are more likely to get a seat if you stay there. However, we did get tired of stopping through all 4 stops at POR. They also drop off at FQ first, except for coming from DTD....not sure why?

I have stayed at POFQ several times and will be returning there in 3 days! I have used the food court lots of times. It can be slow, but the reason is that with the hamburgers, pizzas, etc., are not cooked until you order them. I can put up with the slowness for fresh food! I am not a big Disney resort fan, and always chose POFQ because of the small size. Glad you had a good trip!!!

The slide is themed great but a little tame.

Yes they have a nice arcade on the backside of the building side that has Check-in Desk

Yup first on and first off. If it's filled it sometimes even skipps POR

Have a great trip we really Enjoted our POFQ stay and will be returning when staying off DVC points for long weekends.

Just wondering if there is a store in POFQ that sells milk or any other snack items for breakfast. Don't need enough to warrant a delivery form garden grocer etc. Only a few things- maybe I'll even bring stuff if I have room in my suitcase!
However, my DD loves milk in the morning, maybe even a bowl of cereal. Anyone know where to get these items?

They sell many of these things at POFQ .

But you can also take the Boat to DTD and either walk over to the Hess station or go to SSR as they have a good bit of stuff like this as well.
