Just back from POFQ and SSR!!!!

DH, DSis and DFBIL and I stayed at POFQ and SSR and had a great trip!!!! We LOVE POFQ, stayed there in January and had a wonerful time. This trip was great as well!! This was DSis and FBIL's first trip to POFQ and they fell in love with the resort as well. DH and I are seriously considering DVC so we rented points at SSR to see what we thought of the resort. We loved it! We had a studio and for four adults, it's a bit tight. DSis and FBIL said the pull out was not comfortable but DH and I had no complaints. Let me know if you have any questions

I'm glad to hear you liked SSR. We are headed there in about a month, and you just don't hear much on the resort board about it. We too have thought about buying DVC. Sounds like we will enjoy our stay. Thanks for the review!

Can you give more info on SSR? I am leaving next Friday for a 5 day stay there and haven't read too much about it. We are staying in a 2BR with my sister, BIL and 2 kids. It is me DH, DD12 and DS8. My parents are staying in a studio there, the same time.

SSR is a beautiful resort. We were in Congress Park and had a nice view of the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. This location is closest to a nice quiet pool and hot tub with views of Dowtown Disney and Pleasure Island. Keep in mind that SSR is a HUGE resort. It was a big difference coming from POFQ, but DH and I did not mind one bit. The location of our room was a decent distance from the main pool and the building that houses Artist's Palette (the food court) and the little resort shop. Again, this did not bother us as we enjoyed strolling the grounds. My sister and her fiance thought it was too big. They also said the pull out bed was not comfortable at all. I sat on it and did not think it was too bad but it may have been different if I was sleeping on it. I think it's perfect for kids and can't imagine they would have any complaints. DH and I thought the queen bed was very comfortable. The food court is very limited but our building was close to the walking path to Downtown Disney so we walked there for meals or snacks....so convenient. We really loved SSR. DH spends time on the DVC boards and reads mixed reviews about it. Since we are considering buying DVC we love the idea that the SSR contract is 12 years longer than the other DVC resorts. Aside from that though, we just had a really nice stay, CMs were really helpful, even assisted us with chekcing in for our departing flight on SW so we could get the A group.
