Just back from Pirates At World's End!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! I won't spoil it for those of you who didn't see it but in my opinion it's waaaay better than the second one. I was giggling the whole time at how awesome everything was. Of course, just like the first time I saw the first one, I didn't quite understand everything that was going on but got the main idea and I just loved it! There were definitely a lot of throw backs to the original movie and even more from the ride itself, including audio direct from the ride at one point!!! I can't wait to see it again. If you haven't seen it yet, go see it this weekend! I want it to beat Spiderman 3!! You won't be dissappointed!!

I'd love to hear anyone else's opinion, too!

Just back as well. I read a review today on CNN, and clearly the reviewer had no idea what he was talking about. This was by far the best in the series, not too complicated a plot for those who are fans of the movies, and there were perfect homages to the ride.

This makes me VERY HAPPY!

The second film had virtually nothing from the ride (not even the SONG, which was FEATURED in #1.)

Its like the producers didn't recognize that a lot of the charm of the first film was in its many references to the theme-park attraction.

Glad to hear that #3 has more of the fun!

See now, I just got back from the movie and well..I wasn't too crazy about it. It's kind of dark and not as funny. I also felt the plot could have been a little fuller. I'm a die hard fan too. But this one gave me a headache. I guess I was expecting more. Anyway, everyone is going to come away from this one feeling different.

Tip: Stay in your seat...do not leave....you must watch all the credits and see the scene at the end.

Good to hear some people like it. It only has like a 56% at Rotten Tomatoes from what I heard. Reviewers are saying that the plot is very complicated.

Just got back myself and Pirates 3 was a great movie. Much better than the second one and I enjoyed the second. I really think people should ignore the professional reviewers as they usually don't agree with what the public likes. I highly recommend Pirates 3 and I hope it smashes every record out there.

Yes the Plot is spinning like a top.

But is that not what being a Pirate is all about .

The movie was just great ,the special effects top notch

And yes a few very small hints of the ride keep an eye out for them .

Complex.. yes.. but worth EVERY minute of the 173 it takes to finally get some closure.
Incredible movie... lots of action!!!

I already have 3 tickets for tomorrow afternoon to bring my son and his friend.

We just got back too and I LOVED IT.... I think it is my favorite of the three. The first one was great because you didn't know what to expect, the second one was good but more of a set up for the third... this one was my favorite. I can not wait to see it again. I too had some difficulty understanding some of the dialogue in the beginning because of the accents, but understood what was going on. The references to the ride were funny, and definetly easy to pick out in this one.

As mentioned you have to stay through the credits, it has a final scene just like the first two and it is worth waiting for.

and secretly hoping for another pirates movie with all the original cast, even if it takes a couple of years. i thought three was just as good as 1.(but i was glad i didnt bring my soon to be 9 yr old, the first seen really bothered me w/o her,let alone with her there.) definetly better than 2. loved the wit and humor thru out, thought it had a bit more "fight" seens. i dont want to say i was not expecting a great movie but you have a tendancy (sp?) to think a #3 movie is probably going to be good not very good to great. i thought they did a wonderful job with it. can wait to see agian and catch the little things i missed, cant wait till it comes out on dvd.

Just returned home from seeing the movie; I agree a bit complicated at times but enjoyable; could have sat there for another 2 1/2 hours! Capt Jack & Will looked fabulous as usual.....as metioned in an early post...stay after the credits for a bonus...for you die hard POTC fans

I just got back from seeing it too. I loved it. some things in it didn't make me very happy but i won't say any more. I loved the ride audio in the movie, i thought that was so cool. unfourtunately i didn't get to stay through the credits, i had a feeling there would be something but i had to go. I think everyone should totally go see. I will probably even go see it again on monday.
