Just back from our 1st cruise aboard the Dream!!

And, it was fantastic. We had a Oceanview Deluxe Family room with Verandah. Deck 6.

It was the 4 night cruise. I just want to thank this board for answering all of my questions during the planning!!

We definitely plan on cruising again, probably in 2018.

So, are we Castaway Club now?? :goodvibes
Yes, once you've completed one DCL cruise, you belong to the Castaway Club.

Did you do any port excursions? I'm curious! We leave in 3 weeks on the dream :)

Anything you were suprised by or diassappointed in?

We did the "Discover Atlantis" tour and it was nice. The kids enjoyed the aquarium. For the price, I probably wouldn't do it again. We can go to the New England Aquarium here at home for half as much and there's a lot more to see and do here.

If we do another Bahamas cruise, I could definitely see staying on board for Nassau.

I was actually surprised that on our sea day, the pool deck wasn't crazy crowded like I had expected.

I was also surprised at how big our room was!!

May I inquire which room no you had, we are booked on the dream, deck 6. It's not until next summer

Too funny. I see your ticker and we were room 6114. What are the chances?!?!

Oh my sweet goodness! I've been so curious about the room. And, here you are perhaps with pics? At the very least you can tell me how quiet it was? Had concerns because it's over the Oceaneers club. I too would love to see the personal navigators. I'm a first time cruiser. Never cruised at all before

We were 1st time cruisers too!!! I do have pics of the room. I will upload them tonight when I get home! :)

We found the room to be very quiet, although, I admit that we brought a sound machine with us, so that probably drowned everything out. We didn't even hear the fireworks on Pirate Night!

May I ask what kind of sound machine you have?

Any advice for a for a first time Disney cruiser? We are sailing on the Dream in July.

There is really a lot of information. I'm hoping one of the veterans jumps in here to assist. You might check the Disney page for excursions available on your sail date/destinations and decide which you'd like to do. They are optional. Learn what is included with your cruise and what they will charge extra for. Princess Shmoo has some things on a list that might help. Keep reading the threads on disboard it's helped me tremendously
