Hello to all, We just returned from our 4 day wonder cruise and I thought I would put in our experience with our cruise. Overall we really enjoyed the cruise. Nassau is like a dirty new orleans to us, unless you are going over to atlantis and checking it out, no reason to even leave the boat. We noticed as soon as we looked out at freeport that we didnt really care for it. We got off went into the maybe 5 little stores, all had the same stuff, then back on the ship. Yes, you can get a taxi to what they call a beach area with some stores, but its a 25.00 ride there and also 25.00 back, and we just didnt want to give 50.00 up not even knowing what it would be like there, I am thankful we didnt as I heard from others would did they wish they would have stayed on and enjoyed the boat and not spent the extra money. Castaway Cay, wow, we really loved, it is beautiful, and we like it here. We rented a trike for the water, wow what a workout, but we liked it, then did the banana boat ride, which we really thought was fun. The shows we really liked. The comidian was really funny. My kids enjoyed the pool and slide. They also really enjoyed the kids clubs, my 5 year old son loved making the flubber. Our wait staff and cant say we really enjoyed or were terrific, they werent at all bubbly and friendly, just basically doing there job. and the asst. waitress for the drinks was terrible, and never smiling. Head waiter stopped by once. Overall, wish we wouldve had a better wait staff. Our experience on RC was much better in terms of wait staff and even food too. The tropical deck party was nothing I thought it was gonna be, we didnt eat much at dinner to be ready for that, as on RC the deck party food was tons of different things around the whole pool and tons of different desserts and all. Overall we loved the cruise exspecially for the kids. And most likely will go again one day. We want to try carnival next because we havent tried them yet. Hope this helps.

we were on the 10/5 as well...wasn't the weather great?

The weather was fantastic! I spoke with a castmember, and she told me that the weather for CC was the best they've had in over 2 months! We were so lucky and did you see the rainbow over CC right after we pulled in on Weds. morning? I heard one person say, " I know Disney can do lots of things, but surely can't make a rainbow!":)

Laurann, my wife, daughter and I were on the same cruise! I agree with your discription of Nassau and Freeport. Since we were not in the mood for shopping we stayed on board and used the pools. Two days at Castaway Cay would have made the trip perfect! Sorry to hear about your dinning experience. Our waiters took a while to warm up but turned out to be great. We did notice that our table was served last every night. By the time dessert rolled around most of the restaurant had emptied out and they were starting to clean up - very uncomfortible. Otherwise can't really complain about much. Character photo ops could have been handled more Disneylike (more structure). Food was very good - not great, cabin nice, staff very good, lots of stuff for kids! My daughter cannot wait to go back!

No, We did not see the rainbow, we were still in the cabin getting up and ready then i guess. We also was one of the last tables still waiting to be served, desserts came when the place was about empty, maybe 2 or 3 more tables of people just talking. Overall, Like I have already stated the food was just okay, nothing great to us though. We still really did enjoy the cruise and kids loved it. We may would go again, but we are gonna try carnival, without the kids, on the next one. Happy Haunting:Pinkbounc

Hi we were on the same cruise. I just wanted to say that we did the Our Lucayan Beach Resort trip in Freeport and it was wonderful, would definitely do it again. Both of my girls got the hair braids there for half the price charged on the trips.

We were disappointed in the children's programing, but loved everything else.

The rainbow was awesome!:D
