The family and I spent 1 night at Kidani Village on Saturday night. There were 10 of us. We had a Grand Villa and I NEVER wanted to leave it.

Check it went smoothly. we arrived about 11:15am. Someone greeted me in the doorway and retrieved my packet and we sat in the lobby and went over everything. The room was not ready (which I expected) and I had no problem with that as we were taking off to the Magic Kingdom in the pouring rain. My only thing was my father was going to be waiting in the lobby for the room. At about 1pm I told him to go to the desk and ask if the room was ready and it was not. At about 3:15pm he called me to say he was in the room and never going home! This is a good thing since we had just gotten off a 7 Night cruise where they bought DVC!!!!

So when I got to the villa that evening I was amazed. I loved it!!!!! I thought everything was spacious and nicely laid out. 4 BATHROOMS!!!!!!! and 5 TVs!!!!! I was really happy.

Here are the things that I thought were strange though. Why are there no locks on any of the bathroom doors??? Just the sliding doors. Yes I know the door to my area had a lock but I did not enjoy my 4 year old who was watching TV in our room walking in on me showering because I couldn't lock the door. I thought this was weird. I also think the lobby is way too small for the amount of activity that was going on in there. Maybe it was just because it was raining so heavily but it was packed.

And one last thing, and I understand that this rain was very heavy for the area but the building was leaking. Walking adown to hall to the elevator on the first florr and there were buckets and towels collecting drips. Time to fix that up!!!

But again, I LOVED the resort, which is good since I own there!

Sounds like your hooked. Watch out add on's come next. DVC is some of the best money we ever spent. We fly out wednesday to come down. Can't wait

So glad you and the family enjoyed Kidani. DW and I will be there with our kids and grandkids the first week in December. Hope the weather is good. Last year it was just darn right cold. The first time I visited Kidani I wanted so bad to bring my grandkids to the pool. I think it is awesome and they will enjoy it very much. Hoping for some pixie dust.

Great to hear. We will be in a Kidani GV with 10 people in a month, and we can't wait. Did you like the location of the room you were in or was it far? Anything you'd request?

Kidani is fantastic, we are heading down for a week, and this will be our 4th year in a row staying there. Although it is not our "home", I think we have officially adopted Kidani as our own :goodvibes

Kidani is the best! Glad you love it as much as I do. It's so quiet and peaceful (except for maybe a lobby full of people when it's raining.) Congratulations on your purchase and on a great trip.

I stayed at Jambo in September, but I went to the Lunch with the Animal Specialist at Sanaa and I really enjoyed the animal viewing areas that Kidani had. We saw the whole herd of zebras, they were very active and it was so much fun watching them.

I'm staying with my family at Kidani in Janauary for Marathon weekend. I would LOVE to get a GV there sometime, but we don't own that many AKV points, and I think that having one for just 1 night would be hard on everyone as you've mentioned!

Bobbi:goodvibes

Bobbiwoz--- I will be checking into Jambo at the end of Marathon Weekend. I will have 2 2bdrms 1/8-1/14. Maybe we'll run into each other!

Thanks for the TR. Tried Kidani for the 1st time in Aug, 3 days in a 2br with 3 bathrooms and for the 6 of us it was fab!

OKW GV's are great but I would love to try a Kidani GV, but I agree, 1 day is simply just a tease!
