Just back from my first Disney Halloween

what was the castle like - does it still look like the castle normally does or is it very different for Halloween/15th? I want it to still look pink with pretty gold & blue turrets - anything other than how I remember it is going to be very disappointing :)

No the castle isn't halloween-y, it will just have loads of beautiful lights on it for night time, looks absolutely gorgeous.

They haven't decorated the castle itself at all for Halloween.

It does have the 15th emblem and candles on, but you can still clearly see the castle, turrets, colours etc, the lot.

We saw Jack and Sally with a great Halloween-ified wind band on Boot Hill yesterday.

Oh, that sounds pretty - that's ok then :) I just think the castle at DLRP is probably the prettiest thing on the planet (much better than at Magic Kingdom) and I hate the idea of it being messed with!

I am starting to get so excited ... your trip sounds fab, can't wait to see some pics :cool1:

Welcome back Elaine :yay:

I want to go back now :( Can't wait for your TR. I do think you need a relaxing holiday after a stay at DLRP!!! :lmao:

Can't believe we missed out on the change to the Princesses float! Still, it could have changed again by next week as every day we saw the parade there were subtle differences to it (unless it was because we saw it in sun one day and rain the rest!).

Glad the weather was good for you too :thumbsup2

PS - I was told the Castle would be open from 6th Oct onwards by a CM but obviously not :rolleyes1

I am hoping to run into Jack & Sally :thumbsup2

I found the crowds busier than last time I went, but I planned better, i dont think it was exceptionally busy, I found the organised queues for the character meets, rather busy. I found the studios got really busy when the once upon a dream parade finsished. I thought frontier land was quite busy in the afternoon, I dont know about fantasy land *** I didnt dare step foot in there after EMh except the once when we went to do snow white.

I do agree the villains parade was so cool, i have a vid clip of the beginning of it, with minnie and the pumpkin people dancing. I also fthought the pre halloween parade before once upon a dream parade was super, the music was ver well put together, unfortunatley I thought I had my camera on but it was on stand by instead of record so didnt catch that one!

MY dd got her pic with jack and sally too!
