Just back from my ENGAGEMENT trip!!!

Congratulations!!!!

I think your fiance did the right thing. That little girls heart might be broken if she had said no.

Congratulations from a fellow WDW proposer! I hope you have as much happiness as we have had (over 11 years, now).

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so glad that everything worked out for you, I know how nervous you were about it going "just right"! You guys look like you had the time of your life, you made some great memories there!

P.S. By the way, you did a great job on the ring!;)

glad you all liked my pictures...we took 150 in total for our 8 day trip...we are in the process of scrapbooking them all...

rhonna...POR was great, we loved it. its just beautiful, its convenient, and the rooms were wonderful--very new and remodeled. if you have any questions you can PM me.

thanks again all for your kind words too!

That is so CUTE! I got goose bumps from reading that! I didn't come into my Disney madness but a couple years ago. If I could do it all over again I would LOVE to have a Disney wedding! I told my DH about your story and I said maybe for our 10th anniversary we can get remarried at WDW - and he smiled and said... "maybe"!

I would have signed the autograph book too. I don't even know what the appropriate way to say "no" would have been? Besides, Daphne isn't a Disney character is it? So you weren't even impersonating a character they had rights to!

Congrats again!

Look at that ring! And the dessert it's adorning, yummy! Love and chocolate, a perfect combination.

PS - O'Mighty Tag Fairy - feel free to use "Love and chocolate, a perfect combination" as a tag for me!

So happy for you. Now you'll have to keep us updated on wedding planning. Great pictures!! And I would have probably signed the autograph book too...I think it would really embarass the little girl to realize that she asked someone for an autograph that wasn't a charater, so I think it was good your girlfriend did that for her and didn't tell her the difference.

Just wanted to hear another happy guest for POR. This will be our first time in a moderate - usually we are able to do deluxes.

We are hoping for and requested the mansion area.

Congratulations! I just got married this year (in Ft. Lauderdale, not Disney) and I wish you and your fiancee all the best. Good luck with planning your wedding.

Congratulations!!!! You too look so cute together. I wish you both a wonderful life together. My DH and I just celebrated our 25th in WDW and on DCL- Magic. It's a great adventure.

thanks again all! we'll still thinking about that disney wedding...hope to be back in a few months cause i miss it dearly, even though its been 2 days since we left!

What a wonderful story about how you proposed!!! Beautiful couple, great trip and holy cow what a gorgeous ring! LOL

Now, coming from the grandma of a little girl who asked absolute strangers at Epcot for their autographs, I can say without a doubt that this is one of THE most precious memories we have of our trip. The kind people (who weren't even dressed up except in their vacation wardrobes!) were soooooooo generous to sign our granddaughters book......and they seemed genuinely thrilled to be "recognized" by a 4 year old as someone "famous".

Thanks again for sharing your special moment with the DIS.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! WHat a MAGICAL start to a wonderful life together!!! Enjoy each moment of planning! Your wedding day will be here before you know it!
:teeth: :D :wave2:

Okay, I'm crying in my tea! How romantic, and wonderful.

Best wishes to you and your future "Mrs."

How romantic! Congratulations on your engagement.

I'm going to move this to our trip reports board, for you.

Congratulations! We got engaged at WDW too! Chef de Frace - magic!
Just to share - when we were there for the millenium we were in formal wear at Epcot on new year's eve (along with thousands of others). My DH wore mickey gloves with his tux and I wore a gown the same colour as Cinderella's. A little boy on the bus grabbed my DH's hand on our way there and his mum just though that was so charming - she said it made her trip. And a little girl who was dressed up as Cinderella in the park asked if she could have her photo with me. We would be about as likely to pull away from the toddler or refuse the photo as fly. It would have been so hurtful! That CM needs to get a life!
Cheers!

Congratulations on your engagement! I enjoyed reading every part of it. Well, except the part when the manager scolded your fiance. I agree with a previous post. It's a tough one to call. My initial reaction would be "Sure. I'd love to sign your book!". Perhaps the manager could have gotten the meaning across but in a different approach?

I had a Disney Fairytale Wedding last December, and it was a dream come true! I highly recommend it. ::yes:: Feel free to PM or email me with any questions--I'm happy to answer them. I sort of had an experience like your fiance on my wedding day. I was leaving the GF through the main entrance to get in the limo to take me to the Wedding Pavilion. I was in my wedding dress and veil, and a little girl got all excited and said, "It's my birthday!" I mustered up my best Disney voice and excitedly told her "Happy Birthday!" since I figured out that she thought I was a princess. As I walked to the limo, I overheard her say to her mom, "How nice to see a princess for my birthday!" It made me so happy to know that I had made her day a little bit more special! I don't think it would've been right to ignore the little girl just because I'm not actually a Disney princess, LOL. princess:
ead79, that was nice of you to wish her happy birthday. I'll bet that made her as well as you feel really special! If you have an audio file, I'd like to hear your best Disney voice!;) ;)
