just wanted to pop over and say hi and thanks for all the fab info i got off you lot we had #7041, a deluxe suite (free upgrade )it was lovely and the people in the concierge were fab, bfast ok, beer cool , kids loved the pool, but we went to portofino and pool closed
any way, anyone got any questions i can answer iwill, but thanks again for all your great ideas and info

i dont know it didn tt say and i was too exhausted to ask...
i presume maintenance, 1/2 of the club floor was off limits as they were refurbing 2 corridors. the lovely lady in club was saying that they had several quiet weeks before the build up again (to halloween and xmas?) so they were doing maintenance. We found our pool closed on several occasions to due to possible thunder storms. the hotel was very quiet (i looked at their listing sheet which states no of room, people in house, room rates, v interesting ,but then dont think it would mean much if u hadn t worked in hotels...
anyway, brill hotel, have convinced hubby to go back when we return in 2 years and we have persuaded our best friends to come to , i am so excited to be taking them on their first trip to orlando.
all i have to decide now is if we do a villa or onsite at disney as obviously he are going back to hrh!!

How did you get a free upgrade? Did you request a room on your reservation?


We are going with three other families and an upgrade sure would be cool .

I'm also very interested in getting upgraded but don't know how to go about doing it. I have reservations for a water view room as of now, is it even possible for me to get a free upgrade? I'm new at this, I usually just pay full price for everything from fear of asking. I leave on 9-2 so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

i really am not an expert as some of the others are, but we just asked for a deluxe instead of a normal room.
very charmingly and flirted outrageously with gorgeous front desk bloke , it was hard work.
we only up graded the room to a suite as we had already booked club...
its to the hotels advantage to put you in a gorgeous r5oom as you will do more advertising for them.
one thing, we did our check in, ie confirmed rooms etc two days before we arrived as we were already in florida. I saw the queue to check in 11-12 o clock when we left and it was huge, so i do suggest if you have the oppertunity to check in v early to upgrade or pre reserve (my son has autism and i mentioned this to staff so this may have helped with getting a bigger room, however, i think from the grin when i mentioned the dis boards he knew what was coming anyway
