We rode out hurricane Jeanne at HIFS and it was a perfect place to be while locked up with 2 antsy kids. It was wonderful to have 3 separate rooms with 3 separate TVs so kids could play in their room and watch kids shows while DH and I watched the weather channel in the main room. We really enjoyed our stay there even though the construction is quite consuming now. The check in/lobby is in a separate yellow "trailer" at rear of parking lot. It appeared that only the one section of hotel rooms is open. The day before Jeanne hit, we enjoyed the pool and the kids got wonderful face paintings for free (better quality than at Disney). The free breakfast buffet was nice to have, but I'd stick to the cold stuff (cereals, toasts, bagels etc.) as the hot buffet quality was poor in my opinion. We used a Pizza Hut party coupon that another kind Diser mailed me to get pizza and pop to take to the room which came in handy the next day since the food court was not opened on the Sunday until after noon. Once construction is completed, it looks like it will be quite the place according to the model we saw at check in. Any questions, please ask. Jo
