Just got home tonight from HHI and was very impressed. The drive took about 9 hours from Virginia, had two little ones and had to make frequent stops. Arrived around 4 and our room was ready, bldg 30 room 3013. The room was in great condition and I loved the layout. I know that it is not supposed to be bigger than BCV and BWV but, the layout made it seem so. Room was spotless! Light bulb over the kitchen table was burnt out. I called the front desk and heard a wonderful greeting asking how could they assist our family, welcome home and we are happy you are here. Members since 1998 and the first time I had such a greeting. Light bulb was handled and changed in l5 minutes take about service! All of the CM's we encountered were incredible. They must love their jobs, they are so energetic and friendly. My home resorts are BCV and BWV, but I have to say the staff here were the most friendly that I have ever encountered. I loved the resort, I just wish it were oceanfront. The beachfront pool was very nice though. The weather was nice and hot. A few jellyfish yesterday, but I did not hear of anything the day before. We sat on the beach and watched the dolphins, it was alot of fun. The ocean was warm, not like the jersey shore or the outerbanks, where you have to get used to the water. We did the barbecue last night. It was fun, but the food was just ok. The chicken was good, but the ribs were not that good. CM's again were so much fun. If I had to rate them in enthusiasm I would have to give them a 10 plus, they were that good. I did bring home a weekly schedule if anyone is interested in the types of activities going on. The resort was just so well kept, I loved it there!

What type of room was it (studio, 1 BR, or 2 BR)? How was the view? Did you go out for ice cream at all? Glad you had a great time.

We really did not have much of a view. The front was of the marsh, across from the restaurants and the back was of a wooded area. We had a two bedroom. We did not go out for ice cream. We cooked in the first night, had lunch both days at the beach restaurant, go early around 11:30 it really got crowded. Ate dinner at Guiseppe's over by Harbor Town the second night, and the last night we did the BBQ. Instead of Guiseppe's, just ok, I wish we had gone to Truffles. Found this place after dinner and the menu looked really good and it was very crowded. It was in the same shopping center as Guiseppe's. The best tip I got on the boards about HHI beach house was to get there by 10 if you planned on driving and to park underground.. We did and were very happy that we did, car was not hot and parking does fill up fast. I did buy a nice navy t shirt that had the DVC logo on it. Watches are not at HHI yet.

I think square footage wise, they are indeed larger than BCV or BWV. Not as large as OKW, or maybe Vero, but larger than the other DVC units. I love DVC's HH resort and had to cancel my trip this summer. Can't wait for next year!
