We just returned from our Wonderful trip! We were in Boca Chica bldg. room 8445. Corner (dormer) room. Had two balcony's and faced lagoon & MK. We watched & heard the fireworks in MK. It was absolutely awesome. We had spa treatments facial & pedicure for niece & myself, and hubby had 80 min. massage. They were all great! Great place to stay, it will be hard to stay anywhere else after this visit. All CM were helpful, and it was not stuffy at all. We've stayed in the Poly & Contemporary deluxe too, and this is by far the best of the three.

Sounds like a great trip...and a super room! Two balconies is especially wonderful.

We've been at the GF for the last two holiday seasons but won't be there this year. I'll miss it although the Polynesian remains our favorite the rest of the year.

Did you eat at any of the GF restaurants?

How did you get our room? :wave2: We LOVE that room. We are actually hoping to get it again for our trip in January. I hope you took good care of our room.;) Don't you wish that everyone could have the Great experience we have there? It's hard to make people believe it can be so wonderful. Any changes to the room or resort? Did you eat at any of the restaurants?
Please give as many details as possible.
Thanks, Wendi

We took great care of the room! :teeth:
We at in GF cafe, lunch once & breakfast twice (both very good) and in Gasparelli's for breakfast on other days.
We also ate at Boma's, Cal Grill, 50's Prime Time, Chef Mickey's, Teppanyaki, Peco's Bills. Cantina in Mexico. Had pastries in France & ice cream at Ghiradellies. yummy! We ate snack stuff too, plus tried some of the countries samples during food & wine. Plus lots of wines. :sunny: Never had a bad meal or bad service. The whole trip was just PERFECT!!!!:earsboy:

Am staying at the GF for the first time this December. I can't wait ! How was the bus transportation to MGM and down town disney ? About how long is the monorail ride from GF to EPCOT (I know there is a transfer to two monorails). Did you eat at Victoria & Alberts ? Any suggestions/tips or not to miss out at the GF ? I am happy to read your spa report. Have read negative reports on the GF spa. Glad you had a great stay !!!!

We did the monorail from GF to Epcot once. It felt like it took forever. I kind of recall the actual time being over 20 minutes, maybe 22 or 23 minutes for our trip. We did the resort monorail around to the TTC, and then switched off to the Epcot monorail.

We always have a car and whether it actually takes less time or just feels like it because we spend less time in the car, we do the drive over to Epcot from then on.

LOL...once for us too. My sons and I were headed to San Angel and it took a full hour including the walk. I think it's faster to walk over to the TTC through the Polynesian! Coming back is much better. You could also take the bus if you don't have a car. Maybe bus to Epcot and monorail back.

It probably took 20 to 30 min. on monorail. We didn't mind because it wasn't crowded. We had rental car, so we drove to MGM & AK. Having car is much easier than bus riding to me. You transfer once at the TTC, from there it's direct to EPCOT. If your going to downtown disney on the weekend, I'd would take bus. Trying to find a parking place is unreal. I can't believe they don't have some fights in the parking lots over spaces. There's plenty of spaces on the West Side, but that's a trek to Marketplace!
